Hi and Welcome! In addition to holding a Masters Degree in Acting from New York University, I have been a professional working actor for over 30 years and have been fortunate to work on Broadway, Off-Broadway, in television and film. I teach Acting to all ages and skill levels, as well as Singing Performance (focuses on the 'story" of the song, not technique). Whether you are pursuing acting as a profession or not, the benefits of theater training can be profound on many levels. We humans love to play. We love stories. I encourage fellow actors to be confident, joyful, and fearless with their creativity. I teach emotional literacy, empathy, and the value of failing well and often. I inspire actors to build their own "arsenal" of tools that will serve you throughout your creative life. For professionals, I am happy to work on audition material, monologues, and scenes. For young artists, I am thrilled to work on auditions for BFA programs, scholarships, summer intensives, and more.

About Ashley

Safety and respectful collaboration are the foundation of my teaching philosophy. I encourage a passion for play, self-discovery, and a willingness to see yourself as an artist who has the power to affect change in our world. My acting life began when I was ten, participating in community theater a

She was absolutely fantastic with my 5 year old daughters first lesson. She had her smiling the whole time.....we are coming back next week for sure.

My first vocal teacher and the best!

Ms. Rachel was an amazing vocal teacher! We would always start off with simple and fun warm-ups, breathing techniques, and would practice singing songs from musicals. My first couple lessons she taught me how to sing I Feel Pretty from West Side Story and we both had so much fun with it! After a little while we learned Cups from Pitch Perfect and then we got into the Vaccai book and I learned a couple songs from there. Overall Ms. Rachel was the best! She even offered to Skype a lesson with me since she moved. She cared about me and always helped me improve my voice in every way she could. I love her!

Elena was able to teach someone 500 miles away the basics to a slew of different Latin ballroom dances (salsa, marengue, bachata, cumbia step, etc.) In just a few lessons I was able to feel comfortable enough with the steps and timing to be able to dance in public with others! She was very amazing and was willing to accommodate to my needs as a student. She gave plenty of reference material as well as songs so that I'd be able to practice when not taking lessons. I would highly recommend her as a teacher to anyone who is wanting to learn Latin Ballroom dance, but doesn't know where to start!

"I'm so lucky to have found Kathryn. I was looking for acting classes in my area and found this site and as if it was meant to be. She's an amazing person and coach. I am naturally a very shy person and this was scary for me but after my first session with her i knew this was right for me. Acting is harder than a thought but i am learning and it's getting easier and it's so much fun! She's cares very much for her students and wants them to be successful!! Thank you Kathryn!!!"

For years, she has directed, produced, and taught children Shakespeare's plays in a very sophisticated and inspiring way. She brings out the best in the children to speak and understand the language of Shakespeare, the plots and how it relates to the human soul and experience. I would highly recommend her to teach children theatre. She is also an amazing costume designer!"
