I focus on conjugation, culture, grammar, composition, vocabulary, and conversation skills.

About Vertel
It took the love of another language to help me appreciate my own, and later, to appreciate the beauty of learning. As an educator, I care about more than just a passing grade; my goal is to see you succeed beyond your wildest expectations!

MORE ABOUT ME
I earned a Master's degree in Spanish from the University of North Texas, where I gained substantial experience as a graduate teaching fellow and teaching assistant. I am currently a Spanish teacher at Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Magnet Center in Dallas. Puedes hablar español? I grew up in Los Angeles, so I had it around me at all times. I finally was able to properly learn it when I moved to Quito, Ecuador, using my past knowledge of French to learn it on the go. I then traveled all around South America, and people tell me I have a pretty funky accent, which I love.

About Michelle
Hi! I'm Michelle, a world traveler/teacher who's here to help bring her experience and energy to students back home in California. I've taught various subjects such as test prep, English, history, and languages to students all over the world, such as China, France, and Ecuador. I've worked with students of all ages and love getting to know them to help figure out how they best learn.

I love learning languages in my spare time and practicing when I can. When I'm not looking a bit silly doing that, I'm usually reading, at a baseball game, hiking, or hanging out with friends. I keep active, making sure to run or climb a mountain when I can. However, it's equally as strong as my love for foods of all kinds.

I really look forward to getting to work with you and helping you with whatever I can!

I have been literally to 4 youtube teachers and though I have nothing bad to say about any of them, i know that I need a long term teacher that I can see myself growing with as a singer. Our personalities just meshed. She knows how to make one feel comfortable. She is very encouraging to students with zero self confidence like me. I think I have found the teacher I’ve been looking for in Elena! i’m excited to see what she can do to transform my voice. Her resume as well as her reviews( students spoke highly of her character) are what stood out for me out of thousands of teachers online! It is also important that I love to listen to my teacher’s voice and i love her voice😊

One thing I love about teaching is bringing the arts into the process of learning. We may sing in the language and even paint to help learn. I've taught younger than Kindergarten all the way to adults, so feel comfortable that you'll grow in your conversational skills, as well as, beginner vocabulary. Let me highlight that I'm passionate about "phonetics," which is the study and classification of speech sounds. In other words, you are going to learn how to sound like a native speaker when you take my class.

About Loren
I'm an artist, musician, and language aficionada. I have a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Georgia, graduating with honors as a Magna Cum Laude in Spanish and French Linguistics. I am fluent in both languages.

Why do I like to bring art and music into the learning journey? Let me tell you one of the biggest secrets I've dis
covered. Art and music can allow you to make a joyful memory, which takes the fleeting moment into the longterm part of your brain, causing you to remember more and put it into what you call "muscle memory" all because you're happy!

Speaking of the arts, I play guitar, ukulele, charango, piano, and I sing! I've been a musician since 2000, and I've successfully turned a hobby into something my husband and I have been doing full time for several years. For beginners, something that works best is taking a song that you LOVE and turning it into your anthem on the instrument of your choice. So pick your song and message me!

Last but not least, I'm a painter. Painting is my favorite part of any day. About my childhood, I can candidly say I had the best stepmom. She would let me take her enormous canvases, oil paints, and brushes and just let me at it. Of course at first they were all of my hand prints and rainbows, but she got me curious, and eventually we started going to museums. I've seen Vangogh, Monet, Divinci, Picasso, and many more as they toured through our city. I began to study their techniques and grow my gift. My "Mama Sue" gifted me a hunger for creativity and excellence, and I can't thank her enough. Painting with me, you will grow in your technique, skill, and confidence, and pick up a little artist history along the way.

I'm looking forward to meeting you and helping you accomplish your dreams!

I am a native from Cuba, so my first language is Spanish. Everyone in my house speaks Spanish and I would like to teach Spanish to those who need Spanish in this fast-growing economy that is really in need of new Spanish-speakers in order to compete within the working industries. I took all 5 years of Spanish in Elementary (as expected), 3 years of Spanish in middle school, and 1 year of Spanish in High School. For middle school, I received an excellence award for having the best grades and the best test scores out of all the Spanish students in my school. I’m a very patient person and I love helping others, so I expect my students to learn a lot from me. This is because I have a lot of knowledge in the Spanish language and a lot of passion for extending the Spanish-speaking fluency.

About Oresmary
I will be doing tutoring sessions for anyone interested in learning more about the violin, the voice, the piano, and anything else related to music. I have performing experience ranging from childhood to early adulthood and I may also include performing advice for those who struggle with “stage fright”, or those who simply would like to become better performers. I’m a former orchestral player that performed in a Tennessee competition called Fiestaval. I am also a Soprano singer capable of singing operatic pieces. I speak both English and Spanish, but I can sing in English, Italian, Latin, and Spanish.

Apart from music, I also teach Spanish lessons to those who are interested in learning the Spanish language.

Tutoring will be held in the location deemed appropriate for both the student and I.

I look forward to helping those
who are as passionate for music and Spanish, as I am. I expect to learn as well, since that is a teacher’s reward; to be able to learn as they teach.

Hello future student!

Im originally from Venezuela (South America) with my parents being from Spain (Europe). I grew up in between both Countries. Meaning I have access to both ways of interacting :)

I will teach you a very practical way of learning the language, I'll give you Homeworks and challenges that you must complete for the next time we meet up ( like actually going out there and practicing face to face with someone who speaks or not the language, to make sure that the lesson gets into you)

Trust me is the best way of learning that is how I mastered my English and French. The key for learning a new language is to get rid of the fear of practicing it,
In many years of teaching Spanish to friends and students during my travels, I realized that one thing is to know by hard the subject in question (grammar) and the other one is too be comfortable and vulnerable enough to practice it without the fear of being ridiculous or sounding funny.

I will share with you slang terms from ...
