I have played concerts all over the state of Illinois and I have taught many students throughout the years. I teach beginning, intermediate, and advanced players. I am very passionate at what I do and I will guide you through the proper steps in becoming a great guitar player. Playing music takes a lot of time and patience as well as a lot of practice playing by yourself and in front of people. I am very relaxed and motivated to help my students learn and I will guide you through everything.

I would prefer that students bring their own guitars so that you would be more comfortable playing your own instrument, if you can

I'm so good with Excel, I almost have it making my coffee in the morning. Formulas, tables, Pivot tables, macros, automation...I can do it all!! I love it. It makes me so excited to help people learn all the tricks I can do.

About Judi
Hi everyone! I've been teaching in a variety of areas for many years in many different respects. I teach voice lessons, and audition coaching. I've been doing that for a long time! During my "day-job" years, I was an analyst, and I'm especially skilled with Microsoft Excel. And I LOVE teaching people how to make magic on that program. I have done projects that included creating databases, training departments on the use of said databases, taught entire departments at Jet Propulsion Laboratory how to migrate to Microsoft Outlook from (the archaic) Eudora.

My musical talents run parallel with my affinity for numbers. In my life, it has manifested in music composition, arranging, and musical direction. And, of course, PERFORMANCE! I've performed in and around the Los Angeles area for many years. I own a professional Christmas Caroling co
mpany that I direct and sing in as well. So I'm a performer, and a small business owner! So come see what I can offer!

I thought I was pretty good at excel! Well, Judi was able to show me that I was only using 10% of my Excel brain. I had NO idea what I could do with Excel to make my life easier until I learned from Judi. I'm sure I will be using her again! Thanks!!!

I hadn't had a voice lesson in more than 15 years, but in one session Judi got me prepped for an audition by helping me to determine range, song selection & presentation. Who says you can't circle back on a dream? Judi gave me the confidence to do just that.

My son was tutored by Matt in Biology. Matt's subject matter expertise and enthusiasm for the subject had a positive impact on my son's academic performance in 9th grade Biology.

Matt partners well with parents, is very responsive and flexible with scheduling and is an overall pleasure to work with.

You or your child will have a great experience in working with Matt.

Matthew is very knowledgeable of the game. He is easily approachable and has the ability to connect with students of all skill levels as well as multiple generations. My teenage son was comfortable with him immediately and he is not always receptive to learning if the setting feels awkward to him. As for my own experience I received valuable insight into my own games after reviewing score sheets from tournament games and isolating those ever present blunders that seem to lurking on every chess board just waiting to be discovered. Anyway I give a hearty two thumbs up to my millennial friend.

I've been training people in Excel for over 20 years, mainly teaching at local community colleges. I teach in a way that people can understand - simple but thorough. Speed is secondary to understanding.

About Steve
Hello,
My name is Steve and I've been teaching for over 30 years in high school and college. My main field was Algebra and Geometry but nothing has excited me more than teaching Excel and watching people understand what it can do for them and their business. Excel is very powerful but also can be very simple - it all depends on what you want to do with it. You don't have to learn it all and I will work hard to give you just what you need while pointing out possible topics you might be interested in. Also, I will help you after the lessons are over with creating formulas and/or troubleshooting. I have taught classes in many of the businesses in East Tennessee as well as two community colleges. I hope you will give me a chance to help you!

I've been tutoring professionally for over 30 years, specializing in the beginner/intermediate Microsoft Excel student.

I have a unique lesson plan that can teach you to become proficient with Microsoft Excel in just a few hours. Most of my students learn the basics of Microsoft Excel in just two or three hours and are amazed by just how proficient they have become in such a short amount of time. However, I customize each lesson to go at the learning speed of the student. So, we can go as fast or as slow as the student would like.

Want to create a worksheet? Interested in learning to create a budget with charts? A dashboard with text, buttons, images, charts, and more? Want to learn to work faster and more efficiently by employing keyboard shortcuts?

Send me a message to see how I can help you become proficient with Microsoft Excel!

About Jason
I've been tutoring for over 30 years, so I have the experience to get you where you want to go. I can help you learn all about Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office applications (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook), Mac OS, and even iPhone and iPad. I specialize in working with adults and people easily frustrated with technology.

I have always been the go-to-guy for friends and family, and have been tutoring people to help them learn to use their computers since 1985. I can teach you how to use your computers and devices, successfully repair files, create, edit, or give the finishing touches to work/personal projects.

Are you an adult who feels overwhelmed by the tasks of creating projects on your laptop or personal computer, or maximizing the use of your iPhone or iPad? Then I am your go-to-guy!

I am patient, and we
go at your learning pace, as fast or slow as you want, and you will not feel overwhelmed. Naturally, it takes a few times practicing the usage of a program or an app before you feel confident with it, and I am available to help you. I enjoy teaching people about their computers and it gives me joy to see them master the tasks.

About AHMED
I do not see teaching as simply repeating what has been already detailed in text books and lectures. Everyone’s mind is different and thus everyone has a unique perception to understanding one issue or another. Things are better illustrated with an example.

A while back, there was a television show hosted by a T.V. personality named Monty Hall. In the show, Monty presented a contestant with 3 closed doors. Behind one door was a new car. And behind each of the other two doors was a goat. The contestant had the option to choose one door so as to win the new car.

The probability that a car was behind door 1 or door 2 or door 3 was the same, about 33.33%. Let us say that the contestant picked door 1. Monty would then open one of the other two doors that were not chosen by the contestant. There were 3 terms in the game: 1) Monty knew what w
as behind each door; 2) Monty cannot open the door that was already chosen by the contestant; 3) Monty would only open a door that hides a goat.

Let us say Monty opened door 3 revealing a goat. Monty then asked the contestant if the contestant would like to switch to door 2 or keep his original choice of door 1. Contestants would be bewildered not knowing really what to do. Was it better to keep the originally choice or was it better to switch or it would make no difference whether to keep the original choice or switch?

Meet Marilyn vos Savant. Marilyn wrote a column called “Ask Marilyn” in a newspaper called Parade. Marilyn was known for having one of the highest recorded IQ. A reader sent Marilyn a letter asking her if it was better to switch or not to switch. Marilyn stated in her column that a contestant should switch since switching doubled the contestant’s chances of winning. Many of Marilyn’s readers erupted in protest including readers with Ph.D., mathematicians, and academicians. Most people believed that the probability that a car was behind door 1 or door 2 was the same of 50%.

This became known as The Monty Hall Problem or The Monty Hall Paradox. Articles and books were written over this problem. Actually Marilyn was right and this was proven using computer simulation. Yet until today many people cannot understand that switching doubles the chances of winning.

At first glance this paradox might seem irrelevant to teaching. But I think it does. This paradox tutor the mind in the subject of structured thinking which is very important in learning.
