I teach a variety of subject ranging from art, through cooking and even Photoshop.
I have been teaching painting for over 10 years and my students have gone on to develop a deep love of acrylic, oil, watercolor and mixed media painting and created their own beautiful masterpieces in landscape, abstract, still life and other subjects! Within the first few lessons, you'll start understanding the elements of art such as light, shadows, perspective etc. and as time goes on, you'll be able to paint like a pro! I love working with students of all experience levels. V

I also teach cooking from scratch with the best ingredients. Be it Asian, Mediterranean, Middle-Eastern cuisine; I teach them all and more. I even teach to bake bread with my own home-grown sourdough starter. So, please join me for a fantastic session and learn some basics o
r other skills that only chefs know. Once we have cooked a delicious meal, we sit together and enjoy it over a glass of wine or whatever you like. As an option you may take home the remaining portions, usually enough for 3-5 days. But you don't have to. You only pay for the food you eat which is a fraction of a restaurant meal and yet much better.

If you are looking for a Photoshop instructor, search no longer. I have been working with Photoshop for over 10 years and can teach most applications but prefer to teach it to photographers of all levels. Simple or complex image processing, layers, composites, beauty editing etc. I demystify them for you so that you can print or share your images that shine.

Our first "lesson" was more of a "get to know each other" and "painting goals" lesson in my office.

Renata has a fantastic life story and based on our mutual first interview and philosophy comparison I believe she will be an excellent teacher to help me reach my artistic goals!

Excellente ! Hid method of teaching seems so logical and practical. Started reviewing pronunciation. I was so impressed, that when I got home I started practicing my vocabulary right away. I have taken classes before, but I believe I will be making more progress this time.

Picked up cooking early on to satisfy my own deep desire of traditional home food be it dal baati, dal dhokali, dal dhokala, lahasuni aloo sang makka roti, kadi with bajara roti, kaju ker, pachkuta, rabori, mungodi (sorry for using traditional names as there is no real short translation of these into English language)...and did not realize that it had become my passion until my dear family/friends started pointing out repeatedly. Over time my research background has infused some serious curiosity to understand the underlying science behind the art of cooking (do you know what is the secret to delicious Indian food - is it the minimum overlap of flavors in ingredients!!) and have started rethinking th
e recipes e.g. try making bread pakoda (fritter) keeping bread in the inner core and potato paste on outside instead of traditional way of doing it other way round...does it taste better and easier to coat with the wet gram flour for frying??). Cooking for me has become an endless joyful journey filled with learning and experimentation...always refreshing. Now, I try to share/teach my cooking experiences/excursions with others as time permits.

You may think this is interesting, but I am the owner of a home bakery. I sell baked goods from my home and deliver to my customers...

That's what I do during the day. In the evening, I love to teach young people how to cook. Actually, it doesn't matter how old you are; if you can handle cooking utensils, follow some helpful instruction and read a recipe, you got this!

I come from a family of cooks from way back in the day. I was taught, starting at age 6, how to cook in the kitchen and handle small knives. I had my own special knife for chopping and slicing vegetables and fruits. That's all she would allow me to do for a long while. Then, my mom slowly introduced me to new things, like boiling eggs and making gravy and homemade biscuits. Not much came from a box or can back then. I learned a lot about the foundation of making a wonderf
ul meal...prep work.

It sounds a bit off-putting, but if you invest in a few handy kitchen tools, prep can be pretty easy, and a little fun! That's part of what my students will learn in my classes.

I am a learner. I love to learn! If I'm not learning, I feel half alive. That's why I love cooking and baking. There is always something new to learn and see and do. It's hands-on, and that's my style of learning!

Many people can follow a recipe and cook a pretty good meal, but when it comes to looking into the fridge and the pantry and pulling something together, that's a whole different story. I love creating dishes that make my family wonder where I got the recipe from. When I say, "I just made it up!" That's a good feeling.

I not only want to teach students how to read a recipe and make a meal, I want to teach them some of the science behind cooking; why you should be careful when a recipe calls for salted or unsalted butter; or how to melt chocolate the old-fashioned way!

I'm very excited about taking this journey with each of my students. I love interacting with people and fostering a loving community.
