I would love to help you perfect your English! As an experienced language teacher I have many tools to help you achieve your goals. I look forward to hearing from you.

About Melissa
I have been teaching Spanish, Portuguese and English at both the high school and college levels since 2007. I have a PhD in Spanish and Portuguese (Romance Languages) from Harvard University, and I ha
ve taught everything from Spanish 1 through advanced literature courses, to Portuguese for Spanish Speakers.

I enjoy working with students one on one and helping them feel empowered to use the language right away. I put a lot of time and joy into planning classes for each student, based on their goals and interests. I keep my classes really light and fun, but I will also make sure that you are learning!

I have experience working with students with learning differences, and have worked with children and adults.

If you want to work with a real teacher who can design a class just for you, I am the teacher you are looking for!

Whatever your goals are with Spanish, I can help you get there! Get in touch any time to tell me about your goals. Hasta pronto!

Melissa has a lovely calming personality. She made us feel completely at ease while learning a foreign language. She was prepared and tailored the lesson for our specific goals and level.

She displayed an expert knowledge of the language, but was still able to teach beginners. Plus we could tell she really loved Portuguese.

The online format was great. Cant wait for the next lesson.

About Jennifer S.

When I was very young my father married a woman from Mexico that didn't speak any English. I was lucky that I was young and I was able to learn Spanish quickly to be able to communicate with her. But she struggled to adjust to the language and cultural differences, and it took her twenty years to finally be comfortable living in the United States. I love to teach English because I know how much knowing another language can change a person's life. My step mother had teachers that were not patient with her, and she gave up many times. I am patient and I make learning an enjoyable experience. I hope to help change people's lives by providing them with the tools they need.

About Jennifer
Hello! I am Jenna and I have been teaching for over 8 years. I have primarily worked with children, but I am open to all. I am patient, understanding, flexible, and I love to teach. My favorite thing
about teaching is watching the progress in my students. I love to see their faces light up when things start to click in their mind. I would love to work with you and look forward to hearing from you!

I was out of school for more than 10+ years when I decided to pursue a degree in Early Childhood Education. I knew with all the papers that I would have to write I needed a tutor. Amy was strongly recommended. She held me accountable to have my drafts completed before each scheduled meeting. She taught me the importance of knowing the audience for whom I would be writing, how to use the correct vocabulary; so that the reader knew exactly what I was conveying. It was stressed that a well written paper should have an awesome opening, body and conclusion. My confidence grew with each paper that I wrote for indeed she had taught me the process. I wrote papers of different genres; while receiving outstanding scores from my professors. Amy is great at what she does and is highly recommended.
