San Antonio Music Lessons for Adults

The viola instrument is my specialty. Just the like the Viola flower, the viola instrument has a strong tone quality and beautiful sound. Viola players are known as the "glue" of the orchestra for tying together the soprano sounds of the violins to the deep rich tones of the cellos. Violas are also known as "Super Heroes" in the orchestra because their music can take you all over the symphony in just one small section. Usually, the violas sit right in front of the conductor beating like a heart beat and flying like super heroes across the orchestral composition, where ever their parts take them, viola players will conquer! Viva La Viola!

* Finally, a comprehensive instrumental course for students of all ages and experience levels that includes:

- Information on brands, supplies, and guidance with professional organizations

- Weekly lessons to develop and improve skills with proper intonation, articulation, dynamics, rhythmic meters…and more!

- Music theory (includes music history topics) with emphasis on technology and composition

- Maintenance and repair tips

- Advanced techniques: altissimo range, ornamentation, improvising, circular breathing, etc.

- Chamber music (accompaniment) to prepare for public performances

I have been playing music since I was 3 years old and have been teaching for the last 5 years. I set up every lesson plan to match what the student would like to learn as well as making sure to meet the parents goals and expectations. I work with all ages and all levels. I also work very well with those that have special needs such as Autism. Every lesson is engaging and exciting, it is never a dull moment.

Classically trained Jazz pianist, with focus on solo, combo, and big band performance.
Lessons are available for all skill levels, be it your first time at the piano, returning, or avid player wanting to brush up on some skills.

I've been teaching piano for 7 years. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to learn basic piano-playing posture and the basic knowledge on piano. As time goes on, you'll be able to reach to intermediate level. I typically use Faber piano book series. I love working with students of all ages and up to intermediate level and I can't wait to meet you!

I've been playing piano since I was a young child and have been teaching music for over 11 years. While my main specialty is teaching string instruments, I also enjoy playing and teaching piano. No matter what your age, you can learn to play the piano! I typically teach using the Alfred Piano Series, but we can select the best method based on your personal learning goals.
