I’m recent college graduate with a BS in Music Education, and have experience teaching kids and young adults. I specialize in classical and opera style but enjoy singing pop and musical theater as well! I am a young adult, so I am well suited to teach young students! I know what kind of music they want to learn and I know how to teach them to sing it correctly. However, I am always up to a new challenge, so all ages are welcome! The most important thing to me is that the students have fun during the lesson, but they also utilize proper technique in order not to hurt themselves. My lessons will include warm ups and technique practice, as well as the practice of music assigned. The music assigned will come from a variety of different styles, and the students will be allowed to choose some of it for themselves. I want to help you sing beautifully!

"AMAZING teacher

My daughter is 5 years old when I signed her up to take lessons. Terri is a wonderful teacher. She is VERY patient with kids and very caring. She always made sure my daughter understood the lesson. I will post a video of my daughter's first recital so you can see how much she learned in just 5 months. Thank you Terri for everything and we will see you on Friday.

"I was only in the area for a short while, but decided to keep up with my voice lessons. I decided to study under Marti and was very pleased that I did! As a singer who had private lessons for about 6 years under different instructors prior to going to Marti, I found that Marti’s instruction was uniquely different in a great way. She is very knowledgeable in guiding you through to implement truthful acting derived from the text into the music, which allows for a more genuine sound. She can also help you pinpoint the areas in your voice that you would like to further improve, and give you the tools to help encourage the improvement. Although the time we spent together was short, I learned a lot! I highly suggest going to Marti for vocal instruction."

She gradually add layers of interpretation techniques to a piece, and without realizing it, I had already progressed a lot. Unfortunately I have to move to a new place, otherwise I would definitely love to continue piano study with Laura!"
