Take lessons from a Ph. D of music! I've studied vocal performance for 13 years now, singing and teaching all styles. Aside from my performing experience, I've carefully studied the anatomy and physics of singing well, and how to get that knowledge across clearly in a one-on-one session. In these lessons, I guarantee that you will notice improvements quickly, no matter what style of music you want to sing.

I've been working with Matt for a few months now and he has really helped me step up my understanding of best practices, chords / scales, music theory and improvisation techniques. I have been extremely impressed with the wealth of knowledge that he possesses. Definitely recommend him to anyone looking to enhance your piano playing abilities.
Matt is a wonderful singing coach. He has a great understanding of music theory. He made me feel comforable right from the beginning, and I had not had a lesson in over 15 years. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
I've been taking lessons from Matt for a couple of years now and have performed in 2 recitals. The recitals Matt offers are an excellent motivator for reaching goals and growing my skill level. I'm very pleased with my progress and so appreciate Matt's attention to detail and his encouragement.

My partner teaches performance and acting. It is important to know how to marry vocal technique with a strong performance so neither one suffers. In today's market acting is as important as singing well music videos and live performance keep the artist viable and working it is a visual market so acting plays a vital role in a singers career. A working singer has to be able to tell the story to keep the audience engaged and interested.

Suzan is thoroughly knowledgable about music theory and composition and movement. Her piano skills are excellent especially when seen in the arena of jazz improve composition on the fly with a group of professionals. She can sight read complicated charts and sing beautifully at the same time, for songs she has never done, and these are the challenges that true musicians thrive upon.
As a TL teacher of children also, I can see that Suzan is very family friendly and cheerful, kind and helpful. All good signs of an excellent teacher! Your Kids will love her.
Way to go, Suzan, and keep up the great work!"

She enjoys children and brings wonderful excitement to their music experience. She creates relevant lesson plans and incorporates movement and other modalities into her music lessons. If you walk into a music lesson, students are moving and making music! They are engaged!
I highly recommend Ms. Christine."

me. Men, women, boys, & girls of all ages and various degrees of
achievement stand before their audience with confidence. They have
practiced, not only the pieces which they play, but showmanship, not
pushy or cocky, but polite and welcoming. They make eye contact and
smile; some invite the crowd to sing along on the choruses. Even the
1st year students exude confidence.
The crowd returns those smiles, along with cheers and clapping. One
can tell that Karen has kindly and persistently shown and encouraged
each student. If any show fear, she does not chide; she accompanies
them in the performance and nods approval as they continue. I watch
that fear subside. They are then met with handshakes and pats on the
back. Next time, they will be even more eager to share the pieces that
they worked on and not expect criticism.
Karen picks a theme and arranges guitar, piano, and voice selections,
intermingled into a program that leaves a person well entertained and
planning to come back next time. I am not related to any of the
participants and have no obligation to be at the recitals. I love the
music, the talent, and the progress that I see and hear. You, too,
will be glad you came."
