I’m recent college graduate with a BS in Music Education, and have experience teaching kids and young adults. I specialize in classical and opera style but enjoy singing pop and musical theater as well! I am a young adult, so I am well suited to teach young students! I know what kind of music they want to learn and I know how to teach them to sing it correctly. However, I am always up to a new challenge, so all ages are welcome! The most important thing to me is that the students have fun during the lesson, but they also utilize proper technique in order not to hurt themselves. My lessons will include warm ups and technique practice, as well as the practice of music assigned. The music assigned will come from a variety of different styles, and the students will be allowed to choose some of it for themselves. I want to help you sing beautifully!

I have been teaching and performing professionally for over 30 years at all levels, from beginners to post-doctoral professors of saxophone at major universities. I am a retired professor of saxophone and my students have won various competitions at all levels. We will focus on developing proper technique, building good practice habits, and long term improvement.
My students have described our lessons as being fun, intense, humorous, and thought-provoking. Lessons are always tailored to the individual student, because the lessons are about the student making progress toward their goals, not about me. I put a great deal of thought into how to approach each s

I had not played for a very long time. Dr Wen got me from there to where I was playing in a University Wind Ensemble, a quartet, and a community band. He also knew exactly where my saxophone needed to be adjusted to make it play better.
Dr Wen was my instructor for approximately 7 years. I learned a tremendous amount from him. You can’t do any better than Dr Andy Wen. He’s outstanding!

My teaching revolves around students with disabilities because that is my area of expertise. Working at Hostos Community College in the Arc program I was able to work with a variety of amazing students who needed more patience, understanding and routine. I focus on repetition and use online programs such as Emedia and Noteflight to enhance my assignments so the tutoring is never dull.

Vanessa is an excellent teacher. She is very knowledgeable and experienced in her field, and does a wonderful job passing that on. My son has improved incredibly in a short time. She is also a great confidence builder, she makes my son feel that he can learn to sing any song he chooses and sing it well. She is also very personable and easy to work with. We are both very glad we chose her for lessons."
She teaches every single detail of what I should know about playing violin, supplied a really helpful textbook to me, and each lesson is great fun, not dull work for a beginner. I really appreciate that.
If someone is expecting to have an effective and pleasing learning experience, just go ahead and work with Arielle. It is absolutely worth the time and effort."
