Improv is a great learning tool for team building, spontaneity, listening, being present, speaking to groups, communicating one on one, saying yes and so much more. It helps that each game played builds upon the next to reinforce the learning.
Improvisers fail forward. We embrace "failure." We have to fail in order to succeed. If we aren't failing, we aren't trying.
What you get:
Team Building / Laughter Workshop
Bring the team together in an interactive environment that fosters positive thinking and collaboration.
Improv Troupe Direction - for improv troupes who need an outside eye for notes, direction and ideas for marketing your troupe. At the end of the session, you will have new games and ideas to move your troupe forward.
Christine will help each student become more present, less self-conscious and will get them excited about failing.
Expect to leave this class feeling more confident and empowered.
Christine is committed to providing a safe and courageous ...

I got my start in the 80s at Stand Up NY comedy club. Throughout my life as a serious concert pianist, musician, writer and educator, comedy has been a shelter and a lifesaver. I met Woody Allen for conversation and some comparative opinions on his work, our favorite book stores, etc and it sparked a further desire to do some acting in film, writing and improvisation. As an improvisor in my own field of music, improvisation always came naturally to me. As a published writer and composer, structure is a familiar friend.
I learned how to deal with stage fright from my professional family of musicians and some of the greatest teachers/performers of the world with whom I studied at Juilliard. Yes, the same place that saw Robin Williams and Kline and others do their thing. I hung out with actors on the third floor when I was not rehearsing music on the 5th. Made friends. Lived in LA. Wrote music and acted for films. Got published. Started a comedy concert tour aboard the historic ...

He created a welcoming environment in our online lessons that made it easy to be vulnerable and get right to working on new skills.
I highly recommend for others looking to better understand their voice and communication style, and learn to hone them.
Joseph’s technical ‘short cuts’ are amazing! He illustrates ways for your hands and your mind to work that are tailor made for you. Learning from him is so fun it seems almost effortless.
The way Joseph teaches allows you to develop at your own pace. The atmosphere is always relaxed yet everything moves along quickly.
At the open classes I attend, his other students are progressing very rapidly too. After each class, we share our impressions. The mood is elated because it feels like we stepped back in time and into history.
Joseph often quotes inspired wisdom of his historic teachers in our lessons. He is a great inspiration on his own with great musical insights.
I’m playing Beethoven and Chopin works I never thought I could approach at this stage of study, with great depth of understanding. I now play with greater passion and skill, get compliments from everyone I play for, and no longer worry about playing in public.
I look forward to each and every lesson with Joseph. His encouragement and support makes learning so rewarding! Anyone who finds this musical treasure is a lucky person and I cannot recommend him highly enough.

I am a working actress so I understand that if we don't feel comfortable and free in our bodies and with the text/circumstance of the scene, then the work isn't fun to do or watch. Through a combination of improv exercises and coaching techniques, you will leave our session feeling confident and ready to play. Feel free to reach out with any questions you may have.
Hope to work with you!
