I have a Ph.D. in French from the Ohio State University with twenty years of teaching experience (private lessons, language institutions, and universities).
Since my childhood, I have always been fond of the French language and culture in such a way that French has become part of my identity. From the first day of preschool to the last day of high school, I studied at a French school.
I love teaching French. My teaching methodology depends on each of my students and their specific needs and goals in learning the French language. It is important to me to keep my students interested, motivated, and engaged while learning the language. I always try to assure that my students feel comfortable and confident in speaking French in a friendly and fun environment.

Being born and raised in Geneva, the French-speaking part of Switzerland, French is my mother tongue. With a Swiss degree of pediatric nursing and teaching, I worked more than 15 years with children, families and adult learners. Finding the best way to learn depending on who you are and what goals you have is one of my specialties. I like to provide a dynamic and a fun learning environment to high schoolers and adults.
Having learnt multiple second languages, such as English, Italian, Spanish and German, I’m very aware of the process of learning a new language.
I can provide vocabulary, grammar, verbs, conversation as well as cultural aspects from different French speaking countries, as I was working with people from France and I spent 3 years in Montreal, Quebec.
I moved to Richmond three years ago, bringing many French books and ressources that could be used during lessons.

Hi, I'm Jacqueline and I specialize in French tutoring for students of all ages. I have taught over 120 French students including at most local Bay Area schools as well as many out-of-state. I work with each student to create a program tailored to their individual goals and needs. I can help you with all aspects of French including grammar, conversation, vocabulary, and overall fluency.

Claire is a fluent French speaker having mastered the language through formal education as well as complete immersion in the French school system and culture. Lessons are fun and catered to your individual needs!

Lessons are very personalized to each student's expectations, varying from purely conversational to more grammar-focused lessons. I believe that learning a language should be fun and useful!

I'm Valentina and I'm Italian, born and raised in Torino, Italy. Since I was young I use to speak french with my dad and I use to loved it!
I studied it at school too and I've traveled a lot of time to the close France to practice and learn more about the french culture. I've just moved here in Michigan and I'm very excited to share the beautiful and romantic French language with you! I have been teaching French for the past 2 years. As far as my teaching experience goes, I have previously tutored French for young students ranging in age from elementary school to adults while I still lived in Turin.
