My First lesson was outstanding, we picked up and move pretty wuick. Taught me about the voice and how it works, Danny is very adaptable to your needs and knows how to find your sweet spot. Great motivator as well. Highly recommended.

John
This was a great lesson. He knows his stuff and can really develop a person. I did 20 minute lessons to start, but honestly the more time you can the better. He taught me way more than I expected I could learn, but I could tell there's so much more he can do with more time. My lesson was as long as it took to drive there but it was worth it even for how short it was. I'm doing longer next time for sure.
Danny's really great to work with. He's very skilled and I'm glad he's teaching what he knows because I'm pretty sure he keeps himself busy with a lot of projects. I highly recommend lessons with Danny. It's fun and comfortable because he's a great person and funny and easy to be around even if you haven't taking any lessons on singing.

Welcome!

I am a full-time employee so I have open availability Sunday through Thursday.

I grew up in South Korea where I received most of my piano and violin instruction. I have maintained my piano and violin skills throughout the years by participating in my high school, a prior member of Youth Orchestra of San Antonio (YOSA), college orchestra, playing for events, and teaching kids in my community.

My teaching style is flexible, it all depends on the student's learning style and what they are most receptive to. I recommend parents to utilize piano/violin books that not include just performance, but theory and technique as well to build a solid foundation.

I am currently pursuinig my certification for the Suzuki method and very familiar with the Essential Elements book. I help many of my violin players with their goals in their respective schools along with their own solo work as well as piano players.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me.

Thank ...

Through the foundation I've gained by the influences of Mel Bay, Hal Leonard, and Suzuki musical instruction methods, I compile my own teaching materials. Using personally constructed guitar lessons, I demonstrate, instruct, and guide the student based on my assessment of their individual needs, skill level, and progress. Lessons are formulated in Modules, and advancement through them is based on the student's personal aptitude, skill level, and practice commitment. Learning is accomplished by ear as well as through essential methods of musical notation (tablature, 5-line staff, rhythmic comprehension). Students are trained to perform written music as well as to write and express the music within themselves.
I'm an encouraging and motivating guitar teacher with a casual relaxed approach. Teaching new guitarists is very rewarding to me. To see the light come on and watch a student perform a song, express themselves musically, and create their own composition is an awesome experience.

I started with Scott as a newbie and he has definitely helped me grow as a guitarist. He takes time and makes things easier to learn. As complicated learning can be, he simplifies it and breaks it down. When I feel like I’m not progressing he always shows me how I am. His modules are easy to follow. His teaching style is compatible with all types of learners whether you are visual, hands on or a listener. It’s not just business with him. He’s always available for questions after or between lessons. He’s knowledgeable in equipment so don’t hesitate to ask for some advice on what to buy. He’s affordable and lesson times are flexible. I highly recommend him for all ages and learning needs.
Curtis
Scott has been a great help to me, filling in the gaps and teaching exactly what I request: techniques, specific songs, and lesson times at work for me. He communicates well and follows up after each lesson with emails.

"My daughter, M.J, began voice lessons in August 2014 and I'm amazed at the progress she's made in such a short time! Here is what M.J has to say about lessons with Stacey:

"Stacy is SOOOOO AMAZING!!!! She has helped me not only with my singing, but with my confidence and my life. Her cats always cheer me up after a rough day at school. She has improved my singing so much that I actually tried out for the Wizard of Oz. I wasn't going to at first, but she helped me learn somewhere over the rainbow, and made me more confident to try out. She is an amazing singer herself and not only the best singer I know, but a great friend to me. I go to her for thirty minutes on Wednesday and that is definitely the highlight of the week! I always can't wait to sing with her and talk with her. If you are looking for the best voice teacher in the world, I highly recommend Stacey!""

"Ryan was great! He's obviously a talented guitarist and he is very laid back and makes you feel comfortable. He shows you in detail what you need to do to become a better guitar player. My ONLY advice, and the reason he doesn't get 5 stars, is I think he should have more visual aids with his lessons. For example, write down the different scales or transcribe the first several measures of a song. Then, one has something to refer back to when you are practicing and invariably get stuck. Other than that, I would highly recommend Ryan as a guitar teacher!"
