Hi there. I'm Andrew. I have been teaching for about 10 years now and it has become one of the things I truly love to do. When I am not writing, reading, gigging, touring, or recording, I love to teach people the things that have made my life so colorful.

With a little push in the right direction, you can become an active participant in the things you love. No more watching from the sidelines. Become the musician, writer, speaker, reader that you have always wanted to be. It's never too late! Trying something new or asking for help can be intimidating, but I am happy to show you that the rewards far exceed the costs. Trust me, I speak from experience. I've taught personalized lessons for nearly 10 years now without a single complaint. At this point in my musical career, the majority of my experience and attitude has come from being "in the field". I've played everything from small dive bars to music festivals with crowds of thousands and been on tour and lived the whole life more ...

About Andrew

Music is my life. As cheesy as that phrase goes, for me, it holds true. Everything I do and have been doing has been geared towards music. I've been in one working/gigging band or other without break for the past 10 years. I began intensely learning to play guitar at the age of 9 and have not stop

Music has been my passion since I was 10 years old. I didn't have any real instruments at first, so, I built my own out of coffee cans, ice cream containers and of course: a rubber band shoebox guitar! It might sound funny, but, I believe these early days of trying to create music using my "homemade symphony," forced me to really get to the core of sound and expression without the pre-set curriculum of traditional music study. Early on, I learned a few fundamental concepts of music theory that would forever change how I learned, as well as how I taught music to others. I believe these concepts set a foundation that allowed me to understand music and grow much faster - including learning multiple instruments.

And yes, I eventually acquired a real guitar and went on to study music and computers at the University of California and I currently compose music for TV and film in my own studio. I have taught guitar, bass, piano, drums, theory, composition and recording production to ...

About Peter

I currently compose music for TV, film and other digital media in my own recording studio. Prior to that, I spent about 25 years playing guitar, piano, bass and drums in bands and as a studio musician. At school I studied classical music (theory and composition) as well as orchestration and compute

My goal as a teacher is to avoid any type of dogmatic "one size fits all" curriculum. I always want to know what music the student enjoys and build my lesson plans based on their tastes. Chords can be physically challenging for beginners so I like to work with single-note melodies early on so that the student isn't quickly discouraged. Learning chords becomes the medium-term goal. As for the long-term, I will then use specific songs as examples for how music theory works in the context of their favorite bands. I am always prepared to adjust my lesson plans based on the students progress and overall comfort zone.

About Chris

My name is Chris B. and I've been playing music for most of my life. The best lesson that I've personally learned is that a musician is never done learning. Once you start believing that you know everything there is to know about your instrument then you've stopped growing musically. Personall

Edwin has been teaching my son Ethan guitar for about a year and have nothing but great things to say! My son looks forward to every lesson and it's amazing how much he's progressed. Edwin is so patient and really make the lessons fun by using real songs that my son knows and enjoys playing while mixing in skill practice. He communicates very well and couldn't be more dependable. "I am a long time student having first started guitar lessons in my late thirties. Thanks to Paul’s patience and expertise, I quickly evolved as a guitar player and all around musician. He has a great studio with a full variety of instruments so it's very convenient to not have to bring one's own instrument if one prefers not to. The studio also has a quality recording system , and I've created numerous professional sounding recordings of my guitar playing as well. Today I enjoy playing bass and guitar in a string band and continue to expand my musical horizons with Paul. I think he is an excellent instructor and I highly recommend him for beginners or intermediate musicians of all ages."

Follow these tips from guitar teacher Samuel B. to get the most out of your acoustic guitar... Let's face it. Acoustic guitars can be an outright nuisance to keep in shape.
