About Eugene
Greetings and Salutations! I want to let you know, whether you're a music student or a fellow lover of music, that you have great untapped potential for music! More so than most people would tell you, because music is a powerful, life giving, uplifting gift that comes to all those that love and enjoy it.

If you have a desire to pursue music in any shape or fashion. I congratulate you! You open to yourself a brand new world filled with fun, excitement and great opportunities.

My Philosophy:

There is great music potential waiting to be untapped in yourself. I value greatly the time I spend with every student and wish them to become the very best at the instrument they wish to pursue.

There is indescribable expression to be found in music. A wide range of emotions can be conveyed along with untold stories just waiting to
be opened up. I will help foster a student's ability to see music for what it really is and help them strive for whatever musician they wish to become, whether it be for personal fulfillment, just for fun and recreation, or even in the pursuit of becoming an effective classical musician.

My Education:

My mother took me took a classical concert when I was six and I sat in the front of the stringed section. After the concert I made my decision that would shape the rest of my life, I wanted to become like those musicians.

I eventually graduated from a local music school in the following years in piano and violin and immediately went to enter the Tchaikovsky Conservatory. I was among the 10 out of 40 applicants that were eventually chosen, along with being the youngest of them as well.

After four years of study, I graduated and received my Bachelor's Degree in Music. I then went on to study for another year and received my Master's Degree in Piano.

My Other Experience:

I was Church Music Director in Kiev for Living Water Church from 2002 - 2010. I directed the adult choir, directed and led church worship services, accompanied various musicians and managed all aspects of church music responsibilities, including budgeting, rehearsals, planning and library management.

I also have been a private music teacher for several years teaching adults and young students. I planned lessons with them and established their repertoire.

I am also fluent in the Russian language and have extensive computer literacy.

Notable Recitals

Tchaikovsky National Academy of Music Kiev, Ukraine
(Winter and Spring recitals throughout 2005 to 2010)
Performed works by Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, Rachmaninoff, and Gershwin

Music School no. 9 Kiev, Ukraine (Spring 2005, Winter 2007)

Revutzky Music College Chernihiv, Ukraine (Summer 2010)

St. Sophia Orthodox Cathedral Kiev, Ukraine (Spring 2010)

I do look forward to meeting you and working together with you in learning music!

Blessings

I pay close attention to the fundamentals of music especially throughout the early lessons. These include reading notes, measuring tempo and rhythm, sight reading, hand positioning, posture, and technique.

I believe in positive reinforcement for all my students. Building a kind and friendly atmosphere is paramount for encouraging students, especially children, to continue pursuing music. Everyone I believe has hidden music potential, and I believe the key to unlocking this is through inspiration. Music is a grand adventure of excitement and discovery for everyone.

I am very kind and honest with my students and am never too strict with them, but I do require and greatly encourage regularly that they make habitual practice a vital part of their musical education. As the old saying goes, "Practice makes Perfect." There is great truth to that saying especially when learning a musical instrument.

Excellent Teacher

I am an older student and I started to learn to play the piano more than a year ago under a different teacher. I started with Eugene about 4 months ago. I was struggling with the piano previously. But after just 2 lessons with Eugene, I found myself playing confidently. Eugene explains so clearly and everything makes sense to me now. I enjoy practicing everyday now. He is excellent teacher, patient, and very professional. He is always on time.

I am pretty easy going. I want you to feel comfortable and at ease, but we do need to focus and can have fun doing it. :)
I utilize various methods for each instrument, which is determined by the students learning style and ability; needs, so this can change as time goes on (not sticking to one particular publishers materials). I have done (and continue to do) extensive research into materials available for each instrument I teach, and supplement with my own, to utilize the best out there for "YOU" for the best possible progress. While ensuring an extremely well-rounded musical education, so you can progress at the best possible rate. Since each student's potential is different, each will progress differently. Hsiao-Lan started teaching my 3 year old. She has incredible patience and shows the kids how much fun you can have while playing the piano. My daughter loved her and was always looking forward to her piano classes. I would highly recommend this teacher to anyone who is looking for their kids to have fun while they learn to play the piano. Unfortunately, we were not able to continue the classes but in a near future i would love for her to teach my daughter once again. Hsiao-Lan truly has a gift in teaching young children.

wonderful teacher

I asked my 10 year old son what rating I should give Dr. Wang and he said "5 stars". She is very patient and friendly when teaching my son who is a bit shy. She has chosen songs that are fun that he enjoys playing, and I never hear a complaint about going to lessons. She is helpful with all aspects of learning to play the piano, and I have noticed his playing becoming more personal rather than simply following notes.

But instead she has enjoyed each lesson and has made surprising progress. The lesson is talored to her short attention span, mixed with games and fun motivation. We have enjoyed the lessons.

About Katie
Becoming a teacher is a special honor. As a teacher, sharing knowledge becomes an important part of life; not because you have to, but because you want to. I feel that I have great qualities that will enable me to be successful in this field. I have a Bachelor's and Master's Degree, and an Artist Diploma in Vocal Performance. I want to teach because I want to make a difference. I want to spark students’ interests; I want to challenge students to discover new things about themselves that they may not have otherwise known. I want to impart my fascination about music and love for singing with my students, so they too can enjoy a life filled with the arts and come to appreciate it on a whole new level. A beginner piano student will have the opportunity to learn the basics of reading sheet music. First, however, we will focus on playing simple one handed songs and focusing on becoming comfortable with the keys and building muscle memory. Afterwards we would move onto learning major and minor chords, and then finally practice more difficult songs by reading sheet music while playing treble and bass clef together. This will provide the learner with opportunities to play songs that they enjoy and learn ways to find that music on their own in order to keep learning once they have mastered everything I have to teach. For many, myself included, once the basics are learned it is very simple to continue on by teaching one's self songs with the sheet music, or even by ear.

About Michael
Hello everybody, my name is Michael and I have been playing both the guitar and piano since I was four years old (20 years). Over the past few years my emphasis has been guitar playing but I make a point to keep up my piano skills as well. I currently do work teaching children with autism, and I have started teaching several of them to play the piano during the work day, and perform children's songs for them on the guitar during music time frequently. My main musical interests include americana and country music, but I have spent time learning several other types of music as well. I am looking to teach beginner to intermediate students and help them learn/perfect the basics of guitar and piano.

With a Bachelor's in Music Education and 3 years of Piano study, I am able to customize each lesson to the student's individual needs. In piano we will learn: how to read and write music, how to play songs, and music theory

About Jonathan
Jonathan received his training at Houston Baptist University in 2016 where he received a degree in Music Education. Jonathan has taught lessons through public school districts, Guitar Center Lessons (where he served as instructor and later as Department Manager) and as an independent private teacher.

Jonathan is also a professional musician, performing shows around the city every week.
Thanks to his expert training, Jonathan is able to customize and adjust every lesson to suit each student's individual needs and learning traits in order to optimize enjoyment and success.

In lessons, all facets of music can be addressed, including music theory, tempo and rhythm, improvisation and soloing, grooves, ear training and any other techniques needing to be developed.

Study into specific genres is also an option, including jazz, funk, s
oul, R&B, reggae, latin, rock, pop, metal, etc.

Another major focus in lessons is helping each student develop their own "voice" in their playing. This is the most rewarding part of being a musician, as learning how to develop your playing to channel your own mental, physical and emotional feelings and ideas leads to great self discovery, self confidence and awareness. It is also a great stress reliever and can be very therapeutic!

Lessons with Jonathan are highly engaging and educational, but they are also fun! Jonathan creates a lesson plan unique to each student's needs and skills to ensure maximum results and progression inside of a comfortable and fun atmosphere! All the educational material means nothing if you aren't finding the enjoyment and fun in the lesson to actually practice and learn the material outside of it! Jonathan approaches lessons with a professional and laid-back demeanor looking to keep a smile and interest on the student's face from the beginning of the lesson to the end!

I very much like but not take it seriously with an American way of learning skills by just having fun lessons without committed practice. I trust in every child’s sense of understanding and smart motivation.
Russian school of teaching piano is traditionally the best due to centuries of polishing teaching skills by greatest musicians and teachers. We strive to master both technique and artistry. However, in reality, to achieve this might be a challenge. A fun makes it better. I use a combined American and Russian approach. To help students keep progressing, balancing between hard work and fun attitude, between technical skills and artistically emotional performance is my philosophy and passion.

About Alty
My name is Ms. Alty, I am a professional pianist, Piano teacher, and educator in a great state of Texas, have been a teacher for 15 years. I teach all of the levels of Piano, from early beginners to advanced. My educational background is Russian Classical School of Piano, which is recognized as one of the Best Schools in the World. I have a Diploma of Piano Teacher and Concertmeister.
I love to see how my students grow in their practice and getting more and more excitement playing piano and enjoying the Classical Music. I look at every student as an intellectual person first and foremost. I believe that everyone has different personalities and characteristics. The more I can learn about the piano student the more I can tailor the method and lessons to fit every student perfectly.

Ms. Alty is a very patient yet thorough piano teacher. Since we left our hometown for Houston, it's been really difficult getting a piano teacher that matches the same talent as our previous teacher. We had gone through 4 teachers in Houston. However finding Ms. Alty was like finding a rare gem at the top of the mountain.
She is very knowledgeable and has the skills to get a child to listen and actually want to practice. My children have improved tremendously and actually started playing more complicated musical piece.
My children love Ms. Alty and always look forward to having their piano class. I would recommend Ms. Alty if you're looking for a very musically knowledgeable and talented piano teacher who is both firm and gentle when teaching,
