Lessons will consist of a warm up and repertoire work! I am a firm believer of a strong foundation for singing, meaning creating a good breath support system, working on consistency in the voice, and doing what makes each singer comfortable. I want everyone to truly enjoy what they sing, and so choosing repertoire will be a very collaborative process! My main goal is for growth in the singer, as a person and as a musician. For more information, give me a call, shoot me an email, or even a text. I look forward to working with you!

1st lesson went great! Ms. Depauw is knowledgeable with music theory, and techniques that I am using to help me re-learn sharps, this includes practicing scales (groan). I look forward to working with Ms. Depauw to help me improve my playing, and since I play for my Church, I know they will appreciate the lessons. LOL

I received my Master's Degree in Vocal Performance (with piano minor) at Manhattan School of Music in 1990 and have been performing and teaching voice professionally ever since! I spent 11 years in NYC, and sang professionally with the New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players, Westchester Broadway Theater, and many more jobs such as recording and radio commercials.

I was teaching online voice lessons well before the pandemic and have figured out many ways to make a very successful session out of it all. I can make tracks for you to sing with and have access to gobs of literature. As a matter of course we work on breathing, tension reduction, sensations and vibrations, style, and ear training if necessary.

I love (!!!) working with children as well as adults, and have at present 25 students at the local academy I teach for, ranging in age from 6 to 75 years old.

While I currently sing cabaret/theater style in my own career, my background is classical. I am a member of N.A.T.S. ...

"Brittany works hard to train her students well. She is herself a well-trained musician (I've heard her in multiple concerts) who is committed to producing students who not only sing accurately and with good technique, but also with musicality. Brittany is gentle and loving with children and seems to know what "works". Brittany has always been very professional in her work (dress, punctuality, politeness, etc.)."

During our Masters of Music in Vocal Performance program at the University of Redlands, Sara demonstrated professionalism, dedication to her craft as well as a true and deep knowledge of vocal technique, stage craft and performance practices. Sara treats her peers and colleges with respect, and she is kind, patient and nurturing with her students. "I studied with Marissa for two years when we both lived in the same area she moved and I went off to college. She is such a positive, kind and hard-working teacher. On the rare occasion that she doesn't know something, she does her homework and comes back with a novel of information. If I was ever unsure about a concept and none of her (many) techniques worked, she would always heavily research before the next lesson. She was always great at communicating with her students and goes above and beyond. She has a great reputation and was able to help me get into my dream college. My voice teacher here is very impressed with what I have learned from her."

"I had the best years with Holly as my voice teacher. She showed me ways to expand my voice and be confident in ways I didn't even know we're pissible, and overall transformed me into a better singer. I can confidently say that she is the reason I was selected into all of my high honor achievements in chorus! In addition to being an extraordinary voice teacher, she was a friend to me and helped me through many tough times. She is so understanding and patient and any student of hers is really lucky!"
