I cover how to read sheet music and cover a wide variety of musical styles!

Do you like the deep, powerful sound of the bass guitar? Well, I cover that too! The bass is a FUN instrument that is very friendly to learn. If you ever want to join a band, the bass is essential instrument, because it goes well with the drums. I cover a wide range of styles from blues, funk, rock and jazz! Go for it!

As a kid did you set up pots and pans or pillows and hit them with spoons like I did? Well, then the drums may be for you! You can learn drums with a pair of sticks! Drums are a total BLAST to play, and if you are not one who wishes to read sheet music,then the drums are perfect for you! I cover a TON of different styles, and if you have a favorite drummer, you can learn to play like him or her relatively quickly!

Master in all SAT math concepts. Can identify student shortfalls and address them through the subject fundamentals approach and by tying in real world applications for easier grasp of material.

About Daniel
818-577-7000

I'm a graduate of UCLA School of Engineering with a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering. I have a passion for explaining how the physical world works through math and physics along with 9 years of tutoring experience in those subjects, test prep, and mentorship programs. The teaching strategy I believe in emphasizes subject fundamentals, a powerful and necessary tool for higher problem solving. This strategy has proven very effective regardless of the student's educational background or mental ability. Besides being knowledgeable, I am motivating, caring, and patient in guiding your student to academic success!

Executive Functioning is a separate realm that tutoring can assist in. It deals with cognitive processes including organization, time management, and study skills. Much of the difficulty students face in academic subje
cts can be attributed to the lack of executive functioning. They either cannot keep up with the pace and workload that advanced courses demand or haven't figured out the best way to study for themselves. I am able to assess a student's shortcomings and formulate a plan for higher achievement.

Math:
• Elementary • Pre-Algebra • Algebra 1 & 2 • Geometry • Pre-Calculus
• Trigonometry • AP Calculus • Applied/Business Calculus • Differential Equations

Physics:
• AP Physics 1 & 2 • College Physics

Test Prep:
• SAT I & II • ACT • ISEE • SSAT • HSPT • GRE • and more

Computers:
• MS Word • Excel • PowerPoint • Adobe Acrobat • General Windows/MAC

Mentorship:
• Grade Monitoring • Teacher Collaboration

Executive Functioning:
• Organization • Time Management • Study Skills

• Completely turned around achievement and self-confidence of mentored students
• Track record of student improvement particularly in math and physics

Daniel helped me reinstall core Algebra 2 concepts that I learned the past year within a couple of hours. He helped thoroughly explain concepts that I might have had trouble with, and tried to find different approaches to the problem, so that I could derive the answer. Kaplan University certified test prep teacher/tutor: ACT, GMAT, GRE, SAT. BA in English, Secondary Education from the University of Wisconsin Parkside (gpa 3.36)

About Angela
Having tutored middle and high school students, I've learned that the best tutoring session is 2 hours. This gives the student time to discuss school challenges, how to solve school related problems, to discuss various subjects, etc. Young students are often not prepared for my visit even when they know in advance that I am coming, so every additional minute can be useful. However, I am totally flexible on this so you are invited to tell me what you believe would be a good session length for you.

My ultimate goal, for working with you, is to hear you say, "I am so glad we found you!" When you feel that you have reached a satisfactory level of learning/development through our working together, you are invited to terminate our tutor/tutee relationship. Let's remain friends, though. Please watch my video. I am the real deal; you
can see the real me.

Palig is truly an exceptional teacher. It's evident that she genuinely cares that each of her students excel. She has a strong academic background from Wellesley College and has experience tutoring recently through private tutoring as well as through her experience at Huntington Tutoring and Learning Center, as well as through Mission Hill After School Program. Her experience in this field without a doubt distinguishes her from other tutors. I strongly recommend her to anyone looking for a tutor in these subject areas.

I've worked with Palig for several months now as part of Boston Junior Derby. She has been teaching our very introductory roller skating course.

She is incredibly patient with girls of all ages, and breaks down skater mechanics in a very clear and concise way. The kids love her and tell all of the other coaches all the time that she's their favorite. #nottakingitpersonally

We're so excited to have her as a coach in the Spring!

Need better scores? Or just help with homework? Contact me!

To help you reach your personal academic goals, (whether it be pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Trig, pre-Calculus or Calculus, SAT, and/or the ACT test preparation, or may be GRE preparation for an older audience) I will find your weak topics and help you understand it fully. For that, I analyze your previous work and we discuss what you did and why. I will help you to see the logic in the solution and understand the relationship between concepts. Between sessions, I will happily answer short questions off the clock by email, or Skype.

For the SAT/ACT test takers my plan is usually for a student to take the practice test at home or school, then grade it and come back to me with the results. We will diagnose your problems (as in “didn’t have enough time”, “don’t know how to approach a problem like this”, “didn’t read the problem carefully”, “made a calculation error”, “didn’t know the definition” and so on) and work ...

Scoring at the 99th percentile on the SAT myself, I have tutored the SAT for the Princeton Review, other large test prep companies, and in my own SAT/ACT business for many years. Many of my students score in the 90-95th percentile and above, with some even receiving perfect scores. I have consistently received strong recommendations from those that I tutor the SAT on.

About Albert
I am currently a tutor for the Princeton Review, have taught at UCLA (TA), and have 10+ years of private tutoring experience working with tutoring companies in addition to test prep companies. I currently tutor students from schools all over the Bay Area and U.S. (both in-person & online), including Missio

I am also a test prep MASTER and a full-time tutor for the SAT/ACT/AP, MCAT, GMAT, DAT, OAT, GRE, ISEE/SSAT, TOEFL, TEAS, GED, CLEP exams (and more!). I have scored in the 99th percentile on all of these exams and my students have all achieved excellent results from my tutoring.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My Education & Credentials ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I graduated with a degree from UCLA with high honors (Dean's Honors List, Magna Cum Laude) in Integrative Biology & Physiology. I also took many classes at UCLA in education, linguistics, history, and English. I had a cumulative GPA of 3.838 with 265.5 completed units at graduation and was a 10-time Dean's Honors List Recipient. I also was a member of the UCLA Regents Scholar Society, the Alpha Lambda Delta/Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Societies, the Alpha Epsilon Delta Pre-Health Honor Society, and Christian Students at UCLA. I worked as a TA for several undergraduate classes at UCLA, including Education 92F and Life Sciences 2-3. I also have gone through rigorous UCLA and Stanford University graduate-level coursework in science, math, educational strategies, and curriculum & instruction.
I have scored at the 98th percentile on the SAT I/II tests and received the highest score of 5 on multiple AP exams (see below for more details) as a high school student, achieving the AP Scholar with Distinction award by the end of my junior year. I have been the recipient of over $350,000 worth of many university merit-based invitational and scholarship honors and awards. Some of the most notable scholarships I have been awarded are the Regents Scholarship from both UCLA and UCSB. Both provided me with a large monetary award (full-ride), priority enrollment, 4 years of room and board, and many other privileges, honors, and incentives.
The SAT examinations that I have scored at 98th percentile or higher are as follows: SAT I; SAT II - Math 2; and SAT II - Biology (M). I also took many AP exams during high school, achieving the AP Scholar with Distinction award by the end of my junior year. Some of the exams that I have taken include: AP Physics B (Score = 5); AP Chemistry (Score = 5); AP Biology (Score = 5); AP Calculus AB (Score = 5); AP Statistics (Score = 5); AP US Government & Politics (Score = 5). I continuously study and retake the SAT, ACT, and AP Exams to stay on par with both the big and small changes each year to the exams.
~~~~~~~~~~~ My Personal Message to You ~~~~~~~~~~~

One of the wisest teachers once said that poor grades, study habits, and test scores are not life-threatening, but they are college-, job- , career-, and quality-of-life threatening. The most competitive students take a pro-active approaching to academics and tutoring while the least competitive take a reactive approach. All you need to do is watching the documentary 'Two Million Minutes' by Bob Compton to realize why students in other countries such as India and China surpass American peers in almost every subject, especially language (writing, grammar, etc.), math, science, and engineering-related subjects. They attend extra classes and tutoring from 6-7 AM in the morning to almost midnight.

In today's fast-paced and competitive job market, there is simply too much to lose by not investing now in your child's or your education. If a student is struggling, it makes sense to get him/her the help needed so that the time spent in school is worthwhile. Great grades and test scores can open doors that may have been previously closed and are also significant factors when determining scholarships, so investing time and effort now can pay off substantially in the future. Finally, let's not forget the most important part in all of this: the student. The confidence, knowledge, and skills that a student gains through effective tutoring can last a lifetime.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch. Every day spent waiting is another class or lecture's worth of material that you might potentially fall behind or another low quiz/test/exam score that will only make it harder to recover from. I have had too many students who could have received the grade(s) they wanted had they contacted me from the beginning.

I know it sounds crazy, but I love the challenge that a standardized test presents. I earned a 750 on the SAT-Math and an 800 on the SAT-Verbal when I took it in high school, and I'll help you get your score as high as possible! We'll start by making a plan for your lessons based on the date of your next test. Then we'll assess your skills in math, reading, and writing to find your strengths and weaknesses, and then we'll work on practice problems in the areas you need most to get you ready for your test!

About Kim
Looking for someone to help you get pumped about a challenging topic? I am your gal! The Lord has blessed me with enthusiasm for learning, and I will show you how to get excited about it too.

I earned my bachelor's degree from Northwestern University in 2003. My highest degree is a PhD in psychology with a specialty in quantitative research methods, which I earned from Vanderbilt in 2012.

As a PhD student I taught courses in introductory statistics and tutored high school and college students in math. When I'm not tutoring, I teach my children, who are 6, 4, and 2, and run a printing business with my husband.

I love to work with students of all ages and skill levels. Click the green button, and let's get started!
