I was required to take 4 semesters of Classically-focused Functional Piano in college and prove myself a proficient pianist to graduate. I have also played piano for rock bands and worship ensembles for several years.I also use piano on a daily basis for arranging, composing, and teaching.

About Jordan
13 years ago, I picked up a guitar and began my life-long pursuit of music. This pursuit has led me in a wide variety of directions. Today, I am a worship leader for Fellowship of The Parks, an on-staff music-producer and session musician at Drive35 Productions, and a passionate instructor.

I have a passion for a wide variety of styles of music. For several years, I was the lead guitarist, singer, and songwriter for multiple independent rock bands, the most notable being an indie psychedelic band called Tod The Fox. I have led worship for many churches including Grace Fellowship UMC, Brazos Pointe Church, The Cornerstone College Ministry at UTA, FUMC Allen, Living Life Church, and Fellowship of the Parks in varying capacities. At UTA, I studied Jazz and Classical guitar under acclaimed guitarists Sam Walker and Billy Robertson. Here,
I also studied theory, piano, sight-singing, and music-production extensively. I graduated Magna Cume Laude with a Bachelor of Music-Media from UTA. After school, I spent 9 months interning/assistant engineering with acclaimed musician/composer/producer Brad Nyght at The Bakery Studio in Dallas- whose credits include being the drummer for The Michael Gungor Band and Desperation Band. Then, got hired as an on-staff session musician and music producer at Drive35 Productions. I have also played guitar, mandolin, and bass for multiple pit orchestras and guitar for the North Lake Jazz Ensemble with director Jim Eger.

My teaching style varies from student to student. Music is a wonderfully diverse subject and every student has his own aspirations. I will do my best to cater each lesson to the student's goals and interests. Whether that is classical guitar method, rock, jazz, folk, country, pop or anything in between.

I have an excellent internet connection and microphone set up for online lessons. I also utilize screen-sharing to make the lessons as close to real life as possible.

A few of my favorite artists include: Michael Gungor, Joe Pass, Andrew Bird, Chopin, Led Zeppelin, Glen Hansard, and Radiohead.

*** Lesson Details ***
Lessons will vary significantly from student to student. Not only does every student have different goals in mind, they all learn differently as well. I do my best to customize my lessons for each student's goals and needs. A typical guitar, bass, ukulele, or piano lesson may involve music-reading, chord studies, technical work, scale practice, theory, and of course learning awesome songs!

I consider myself a healthy balance between professional and light-hearted. As much as I want to make efficient use of the lesson-time, my primary goal is for the student to truly understand and enjoy music.

I have worked hard to be a flexible musician and teacher. I am competent in jazz, rock, classical, contemporary, blues, worship, country, and beyond and will be happy to teach any (or all) of these styles to any student.

I really enjoyed working with Jordan! His flexible approach to teaching and learning was refreshing. He was able to quickly assess my skill-level and meet me where I was at. During our lessons, I learned what I felt was applicable, as he gears the lessons towards the student, not teaching from a one-size-fits-all lesson plan. He is open to learning new ideas, as I understood the instrument from one perspective, and he a different perspective. He was willing to listen and adjust his teaching style towards my level of understand, and I was able to quickly progress. With his knowledge and his experience, he answered so many questions I had about music. If I take lessons again in the future, I will request Jordan.

Great teacher for piano, and music in general. I've been taking lessons with him for almost a year now, and he does a great job tailoring lessons to your interests. I've learned a couple jazz songs, some soloing techniques, and song writing techniques with Jordan. He started out the lessons teaching me the things that I needed to know and my last piano teacher didn't teach me. Great for any and all skill levels, plus he's a really cool dude.

Classical Piano is Dustin's specialty. His love for Bach, Chopin, Beethoven, Liszt and all the other Masters shines best through his students.

About Dustin
Hear me play! soundcloud.com/dbward/rachmaninoff

Dustin W. became interested in piano while growing up in a musical home. His eldest brother was an accomplished pianist from an early age so it was an easy choice for Dustin to also study music at age 8. Piano is something Dustin has always enjoyed. While in high school, Dustin not only played for the school choir but also played in the jazz band as well as sang bass in his school's Chamber ensemble. Dustin started playing piano in 1995.

While attending Pepperdine University in 2005 on full merit/music scholarship, Dustin began to give piano lessons to young students in the area as well as his fellow classmates who needed help on improving their performance. This allowed Dustin to hone his skills in teaching both beginner and advanced level students. Dustin has received several awards
for his piano performance ability, most namely his graduation from the California Certificate of Merit at age 18 as well as several other competitive awards in the concerto, Bach, and Sonata competitions. Currently, Dustin continues to practice 2-3 hours a day of piano to reinforce the skills learned through his piano career, as well as test out his new teaching ideas and musical interpretations. He mostly plays for his students as well as his young son Landon so his kids can grow up in a musical environment.

The highlight of his music career is being able to take what was taught to him by his favorite and very accomplished teacher, Mr. Krystrof Brzuza, and apply that to his own students. This helped him be a teacher to many wonderful students he picked up over the years. Dustin has also taught piano in Shanghai where he built up a full studio in 5 years. The saddest part for Dustin when leaving Shanghai was leaving his piano studio. Some of Dustin's students have gone on to study various majors with musical minors due to Dustin bringing out their love of music. Other students were much younger and would be left with another bright teacher in Shanghai. Having wonderful students is why he began teaching, having them grow to love music and continue music throughout their life is why he continues to teach. As long as he can help his students learn to not only enjoy music but to keep it with them their entire lives, then he know that he has been successful with that student whether they are 6 years old or 56 years old.

*** Lesson Details ***
For beginners to Intermediate I use the Bastien piano books which I have found have the best balance for teaching both technical ability as well as love of music and song.

For advanced students I focus on tailor-making the repertoire to fit what kind of music my student enjoys as well as will improve them in technical/musical areas that are lacking. Generally I follow the one from each of the major periods plan for older students, e.g. 1 Baroque, 1 Classical, 1 Romantic, 1 Contemporary. This gives each student a good exposure to different types of compositions as well as experience in playing varied types of music.

*** Specialties ***
While experienced in teaching young students to love music, Dustin specializes in taking intermediate students who are skilled and turning them into advanced Pianists who will both excel at piano performance as well as learn to love piano for the rest of their lives.

I have been teaching piano lessons for several years now, to students ranging from 4 to 50 years of age. In the first lesson, students can expect to learn the musical alphabet, location of middle C, the correct posture and hand position, as well as some simple musical exercises depending upon the student's age and ability. My goal in teaching is to help people gain an understanding and appreciation of the piano, as well as the workings of music as a whole. While my background is in classical piano, I enjoy working with students on any style of music that utilizes sheet music.

About Maureen
Maureen has been teaching private voice and piano lessons since 2009, and currently runs her own studio, as well as traveling to students' homes to teach lessons. She teaches anyone with an interest and willingness to learn, regardless of experience level.

Maureen received her Master of Music from the University of Maryland 2017 with an emphasis in Opera Performance. Her teaching style is tailored for each individual student, in that what works for one student won't necessarily work for the next (particularly in regards to singers), and strives towards finding the optimal method that encourages and helps students to improve. She firmly believes that anyone who is willing to dedicate the time and effort to learning a new instrument is capable of doing so, and looks forward to helping new students achieve their goals.

I teach piano holistically, encouraging a well-rounded knowledge of the piano and various genres of music. Along with technique, I encourage the student's exploration of the piano by improvisation. As a sight-reading lover, I also teach sight-reading so students can easily discover pieces on their own. I want students to develop the proper foundations to discover music at their own leisure.

About Elisa
Elisa comes from a family of pianists and piano teachers.

She is the church pianist at Sachse UMC in Plano, and was keyboardist of SMU’s World Music Ensemble.

Sightreading music and teaching are her favorite things. And she has a channel dedicated to movitating people to learn new music. She records and uploads piano songs once a week.

In 2013 she attended University of Rochester, and took piano lessons at Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York. Soon after she was accepted to Southern Methodist University's Division of Music for Piano.

Elisa loves helping her students cultivate their passion for music, whatever style it may be. She loves the journey of music discovery, and is excited to share her knowledge of piano with her students!

I have experience teaching semi-private and private lessons in New York City and in Texas from ages 4 years and up.

About Salvador
I am a professional musician and educator. I have always enjoyed and been eager to share the musical knowledge that I learned from the very first music lesson I ever had; this feeling in me has never changed. I simply love to help people who want to learn new instruments.
I am patient and encouraging, helping you to always believe in yourself and I believe and have the educational means to help you do it. Whether it is piano, guitar or some other instrument you want to learn, I can help you.
I was became entirely dedicated to music when I was 14 years old. I learned Classical/Jazz/Pop Guitar, Piano and Flute/Recorder/Alto Sax. As soon as I started learning, I started teaching. In my church there were a lot of kids that didn't have the opportunity to learn music, so I volunteered and became their music teacher passing on to them whateve
r I learned myself.
As I grew older, I kept on studying and teaching music as a church volunteer and noticed that my own skills would dramatically improve just because I was devoted to my student's learning.
I pursued a degree in Music Education in New York City at the Aaron Copland School of Music. The education and experience I gained from college, drastically improved my teaching skills and I was able to work as a Music Teaching Assistant for a private school in NYC, a Senior Chess instructor for after school programs and a Private Music Studio teacher.
Nowadays I am an active music teacher and performer, looking for new students and opportunities to share the love of music. I always reach out to people who have musical interests and want to further develop or experiment with music.

I will be very happy to be your music teacher!

He is the best violin teacher I have ever had! I've wanted to learn since I was a kid, but I was not motivated with my previous teachers and now as an adult beginner I am finding it easier than I thought. Mr. Sal breaks it down so that it isn't as hard to learn anymore and I am making leaps and strides. These last 6 months have gotten me ready to play Jingle Bells for my family over the holidays along with my other pieces and I am excited to show them what I've learned. Thank you Mr. Sal and I would definitely recommend anyone who wants to learn the violin to just start with the best teacher I know!

I've taught students at the high school/junior high level for 4 years and I'm currently teaching students at the elementary level. After teaching nearly all age groups across Texas, I've gained some incredible insight that I'd love to share with you. I focus on creating simple yet vibrant music lessons in order to further encourage the student to pursue music at all levels. Let's talk about your musical interests as well as a free starting lesson!

About Mario
I pride myself in focusing on the students needs inside every educational setting. I am currently specializing in teaching young students from the ages of 7 - 12 and have had 4 years of teaching experience with students from the ages of 13 - 18. With this being said, I have gained the skills necessary to teach aspiring musicians from all age levels.

I first specialized in percussion in each and every rhythmic instrument both inside and outside of the classical setting of music. After getting that foundation placed, I then began to practice/teach piano, guitar, ukulele, and string instruments.

In my previous career, I had the pleasure of taking my students across Texas to go perform for their competitions; my current performing group is my Mariachi at my elementary school and we have had the pleasure to perform in Christmas parties and
other events. Every student has told me in return how grateful they were to have had those experiences and how much fun it was. I am receiving the same level of feedback from my students that I give private lessons to. Let's talk about getting your adventure started in becoming a musician.
