About John
I have an associates degree in music and I have been teaching lessons for 10 years now. I also have experience as a substitute teacher. As a substitute, I have taught all grades, all subjects, and I have helped out many kinds of students each with their own way of learning.

Besides teaching, I love learning too. Anytime I have a question I immediately start seeking out the answer. Learning never stops!

*** Lesson Details ***
Ever wondered how musicians write music? Why do they make the choices they make? Why do those choices work? Why does music work the way that it does? I can answer all these questions and much more.

With me as your guide, I will unlock your musical superpowers and make you capable of things you didn't know were possible. I have many different methods for teaching not only technique, but how to listen, and ho
w to think creatively so that you can unlock your full potential.

*** Travel Equipment ***
I can provide my guitar, picks, and tuner and that's really all you will need as well.

I'll occasionally bring my laptop with me to use some music software to assist in my lessons.

I'll always have pens and paper so I can make notes or diagrams if needed. I highly recommend that my students have a spiral notebook so I can more easily cater to them.

*** Specialties ***
I specialize in many musical genres including rock, ska, punk, progressive, jazz, folk, and more. Music theory is a big part of what I do as it's the universal language of music. If you learn enough theory, you can learn ANY instrument.

John seems to customize his lesson to you. He teaches the basic, and theory behind why these chords go together and helps you learn the music you are interested in. He goes at a slow pace, so that you have time to practice and really pick up what he is showing you

I am Judith, a professional Pop/Rock/Jazz singer and pianist. In 2009 I've got my Master's degree in Popular Music Voice Education at the University of Music & Drama in Hanover, Germany, and for more than 10 years I've worked as a voice instructor and freelance singer/pianist in Germany, the UK, Egypt, Greece and now Houston, TX.

My approach to singing is to combine the voice with your whole body in order to reach higher registers, gain more power and lose strain and fears! I would love to help you to enjoy singing even more - in an effortless and comfortable way!

I've prepared previous students for music college or university auditions, plenty successfully graduated!

Content of my lessons are:

- speech level singing
- belting
- ear training
- breathing techniques
- score reading
- improvisation/scat
- son
gs from the popular music genre (Jazz, Rock, Pop)
- body & posture as a support for your singing
- singing harmonies

I can't wait to meet you and to start singing with you!

*****I can travel farther than 10 miles on a case by case basis. For distances greater than 10 miles, I do also charge additional. Please feel free to message me directly to discuss rates and times for that.

About Daria
What makes me a better option in comparison to native speakers? I'm specializing in teaching French as a foreign language. I also learned French (English) as a foreign language, so I know and understand all the difficulties you may meet during your studying process. Due to my understanding of all that, I can adopt better the methods of our work and my explanation.
What I love the most about my work? It's seeing my students' success and progress. For that aim, I'm always attentive to my students' needs and abilities to learn a subject. I try to find the best way to their understanding according to individual characteristics.

Since my childhood, I knew that languages are my passion. That's why I graduated from the pedagogical university back in Ukraine (my native country) at the faculty of foreign languages and also studied at the un
iversity in Switzerland. I went abroad to improve my French and English as well as to learn psychology and sociology. I had an opportunity to live in a French-speaking country, to have everyday language practice, and to learn how to live on your own.

About Lauren
I graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in International Studies, a minor in Russian language, and a TESL/TESOL/TEFL certification (ESL certification).

I spent several years teaching conversational English and culture to international graduate students at Texas A&M with the volunteer organization iHouse (International House). Later I taught group lessons in grammar, conversation, and speaking with a local language school. I worked as a Program Manager at the Korean-owned SAT Solutions Test Prep Center for a year, helping organize and build programs that would help high-school students improve their English as well as their performance on standardized college-entrance exams. I also taught for 2 years as the high-school reading teacher there, where many of my students had recently immigrated from Korea and sought to improve the
ir English.

I have owned and run Lauren’s English Lessons since 2012. I teach English in both casual and professional settings. My work in business setting includes teaching directly for and in indirect cooperation with a number of companies and their employees such as Schlumberger, ExxonMobile, Koras, SK, Tadono, GE, Marathon Oil, and many others including several various international consulates. I also offer lessons in more casual setting for every-day English. Some students prefer to learn English while drinking coffee and discussing essential things like how to talk to children’s teachers or classmates’ parents or how to make small talk with the guy at the coffee shop or how to demand in effective English that your landlord fixes your problem immediately.

I have traveled to over 50 foreign countries exploring culture and language. I spent time studying in St. Petersburg, Russia and teaching in Tainan and Hsinchu, Taiwan. My travels help me better understand the culture and background of my students. I love learning about my students’ cultures, just as much as I love sharing my own with them. I have taught students from all over the globe – from countries including: China, Korea, Japan, India, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Turkey, Russia, Kazakhstan, Venezuela, Mexico, Bolivia, Spain, France, and many others.

I am a native English speaker, and I am conversationally proficient in Russian and somewhat proficient in Spanish. My travels and study of other languages have given me a more rounded grasp of the English language and a deeper understanding of the challenges of learning a new language and culture.
