We will work on getting that Monologue or Scene to stand out, be powerful, honest, clear and uniquely you. Casting Directors, Directors, Teachers and Conservatories want to see you - how you work, how you interpret, how you listen and how you engage. When we are nervous, often this energy gets in the way of a us seeing you. In my sessions, we learn to work with the energy of fear and with nerves. We find ways to access your unique imagination, your impulses, to put the focus on the text and on the present moment. I have extensive experience teaching acting young people ages 10-18. My students have gone on to work professionally in Film, TV and Theater and have been accepted to programs like NYU Tisch, AMDA, California Institute of the Arts, and more. As a fellow actor who works professionally, I am passionate about supporting younger artists and helping them have healthy and successful careers in this industry. I look forward to working with you!

About Claire
I hold an MFA in Acting from the California Institute of the Arts and have been teaching professionally for over ten years. I teach Acting and Auditiong to young actors (10-18 years) and also teach Public Speaking, Voice and Accent Reduction to those looking to find more ease and power when using their voice in front of others. I have taught, directed and coached young actors who have gone on to work professionally in Film, TV and Theater. My students have been accepted to conservatory programs like NYU Tisch, California Institute of the Arts, AMDA and others. I am a passionate teacher that believes in the individual and in unlocking the creative genius, the impulses, the individual imagination and the unique forms of expression of each of my students. In my sessions, I encourage my students to “play” and to discover how to tap in
to relaxation, ease and focus in whatever the task — a monologue, an audition, developing a character, or analyzing a text. In addition to teaching and coaching actors, I have worked extensively in the areas of Voice and Speech and coached and taught Public Speaking and Presentation, Accent Reduction and ESL. I have taught students from all over the globe, China, Russia, Taiwan, Italy, Japan and from all over the U.S. Throughout the ten plus years I have taught, I have helped both actors and non-actors alike, those in the professional business world, gain tools that lead to freedom and ease of expression when speaking in front of others, be it at an audition, an interview, giving a presentation to a board or speaking in front of thousands at a Ted Talk.

I have taught acting classes for 5 years now.

Depending on your needs, I would customize each lesson to your goals. Every actress/actor has an ultimate goal, and we would try to achieve that by creating an overall plan.

My goal is to get you ready to get in front of casting. Depending on your acting skill level and experience, we will customize the lessons for your needs

About Drea
I have been in the creative industry since I was a child. I have been singing since I came out of the womb! And doing photography since high school. I am now in front and behind the camera as an actress/on camera host, and I am a professional photographer/videographer. I have behind the camera for companies such as VH1, MTV, Fuse TV, and the New York Post. In front of the camera, you have probably seen me in films such as Relativity Media's, "Act of Valor," "Baby Mama" (Opp Tina Fey/Sigourney Weaver), and Chris Rock's "I Think I Love my Wife." My experience both in front and behind the camera compliments each other as I understand what is needed for both positions. I try to keep my lessons informative and fun! -- Anything can be achieved if you take your time and you really want it.

I teach both in front and behind the camera :

Gabriel is an incredible accent teacher. He has his own technique and all I can say is that it REALLY works. I tried other accent coachs before him and always felt some part of the work wasn't fully done. I felt like they were only showing me what I should be doing. That is not the case with Gabriel. He is detail oriented he has a superman ear, he is very good at explaining what is the mistake you are making and how you can correct it, giving precise exercises and techniques to fix it. I have people asking me if I moved to the States when I was 5 when in reality I moved here less than a year ago :) Can't beat that! A part from his professionalism, he is kind, funny, flexible. I totally recommend him!

Nikolai is the best teacher I've ever had. By far. Whether going on an audition, or prepping for a film/tv, Nikolai has given me the tools to be fully prepared and at my best. I'm able to listen, see, connect, react, and just be completely comfortable in my body while acting more than ever as a result of his teaching methods. No gimmicks, tricks, or shortcuts - you'll learn have to have full, genuine experiences in your acting. It's a wonderful thing.

This is really a thorough journey into the art and craft of acting at its best. It is engrained in one of the original contributors of acting Michael Chehkov with a contemporary interpretation. It is very difficult to find this kind of a real REAL nature of acting kind of class. True learning experience. It is so specific in its technique and due to the nature of the small class you are given full attention. I took so much away from this class, that will stay with me forever!

Are you wanting to be a more confident actor and improve your stage presence? Want to nail that audition? Or maybe you just want to be more comfortable speaking in public. I can help you. I am a professional EMC actor and singer with a degree in theatre from Oklahoma State University. I would love to help you with that new monologue or that audition song and help you ace that audition.

About Anthony
I am a professional vocalist, instrumentalist ( guitar, mandolin, piano, bass, ukulele), actor, writer and string theorist with a degree in Theatre from Oklahoma State University. I sing, act and play instruments for professional Equity theatres in the Dallas area and have music directed community and childrens productions. I am largely self taught and consider myself my own best student and once in college built a guitar completely out of materials found at home depot. I have also studied voice, piano and guitar with several industry professionals.

I place a large emphasis on ear training, which helps you to hear the structure and flow of music. Ear training is imperative for more advanced students to learn before they can begin improvisation. Its like giving a man a fish vs teaching a man to fish. Its also a great transition in
to the theory part of your instrument specifically for kids who often pick up and latch on to the concept. Ear training properly though is not only a daily process but can be difficult for some so if you feel like this isn't for you that is okay because it all comes down to what you want.

My voice students will learn to relax into their singing and to strengthen their voice week to week. Each student receives a personalized plan of daily exercises based on their needs and weekly performance. I also offer audition coaching for those in the musical theatre community. For kids and beginners we start with basic breath control and diction. For more advanced students we work on improvisation

My instrumental students will begin by learning ear training and basic structure from there I make it about you and what you want to learn. I am a big believer in genre bending instruments. I for instance play jazz and blues mandolin. If you're wondering why you have never heard of this its because you can count the number of culturally relevant jazz and blues mandolinists on one hand. There are also reasonably few people who teach this as it is something so rarely done. If you have latched on to a particular genre of music I'd love to help you explore it.

Acting students are encouraged to dabble in all parts of theatre and film as many roles require you to be a jack of many trades. Character development and emoting convincingly is only part of the game.
