I have been tutoring students and adults for almost twenty years, and I currently teach and tutor one-on-one or via skype during late afternoons, evenings and weekends. Whether you're looking for immediate French homework help or weekly tutoring, I can help you study everything from pronunciation to grammar.Typically use Bien Dit!: Holt French 1.2.3, students books, "grammar & vocabulary" Books, "Allez,Viens" Level 2,"Points de depart" for college students. I'am familiar with the French Curriculum used by the FCPS World Languages.
Tutoring Levels:

Level 1:

You only know the alphabet, and you can't write or speak a word yet. Not a problem, we can go through the basics to get you comfortable.After the first lesson, you'll already know how to have a simple conversation (introduce yourself, ask for directions or order a dish for instance.

Level 2:

You can speak the few sentences that you remember from school, but not enough to feel at ease across the pond. Key ...

Initially I like to evaluate the student's current comprehension level (regardless of years studied) to better select the appropriate starting point. From there, if there is a specific subject matter or course work/syllabus for a class that needs to be followed, I can tailor lessons to fit those needs. Throughout lessons, I like to bring in elements such as cartoons, newspapers, movie clips, etc. to aid in understanding everyday usage & make learning practical and pertinent to the student.

**30 minute lessons are available for students interested in Conversational French practice (for Intermediate/Advanced Only). Please send me a message if you are interested & we can discuss how to arrange through TakeLessons.

French is my second language. I studied in French primary, and the first half of secondary school. I am at an intermediate level of reading, writing, and speaking. I provide very interactive, hands-on tutoring sessions that include reading materials, writing exercises, arts/crafts activities, and some audio/visual materials, all catered to each student's unique abilities and needs.
