Darrell helped me a lot to get a handle on my Ableton rig. I needed to set up midi tracks, locate presets to create cool sounds from plugins. Then I needed to export the audio of a couple of those tracks to import into a separate Pro Tools project. Lot of progress, thanks Darrell! -- Frank S

My experiences with Josh have been great. I have played guitar for many years, but my approach has always been lacking in relation to technique. Josh has helped me form a better mechanical understanding of my posture and movements. The adjustments he has helped me make have resulted in less stress on my fingers, wrist, and arms. He has always been thoroughly prepared for lessons. I would absolutely recommend Josh, especially for new musicians who want to learn their instrument in a fundamentally sound and detail oriented manner.
Paul W.
Been a student of Josh's for a few months now and feel very fortunate to have found him. His attention to detail, continuity between sessions, and obvious broad knowledge base are a few of the elements making this a very rewarding learning experience. I am learning to read music, understand music theory, and develop technique. I have very much looked forward to each lesson which Josh takes the time and effort to build upon with clear assignments and follow up. Josh is highly personable, professional and supportive. I highly recommend Josh.
Mark J.
Excellent, takes time to explain music so I can have a better understanding of the whole process.
I look forward to each class as I learn more.

I focus on guitar and singing. Learning chordal harmony, finger technique, and creativity so that you can learn your favorite songs, sing with good technique, and write your own songs.

We dive deeply into the meaning of songs as stories, and their context in history, humanity, and the human condition.

I do ear training and lots of chordal harmony and scales so you have the nuts and bolts of musical grammar to create your own songs and learn your favorite songs as well.

I focus on acoustic guitar.

About Amy

I am the great-granddaughter of a musician who used to play with Ella Fitzgerald and Benny Goodman in NYC in the 1930s and 40s! I believe every person has the right to be musically fluent, and to have music available to them as a tool for self expression, emotional expression, stress relief, and

Luther stays where I’m at and then helps me go the next step. That is useful for consistent gradual progress without the frustrations of moving either too slow or too fast (I am a beginning tenor saxophone player). Nice interpersonal style, patient and easy going, while methodical.

I think Luther is great. He works with my 10-year old son on piano, singing and even trumpet and violin as needed. My son has to work hard to progress, and Luther customizes the lesson plan for him and seems to understand him well. I'm really excited about them working together.

I’m a multi-instrumentalist and teacher specializing in electric and acoustic guitar, and artist development. I spent the early ‘80’s as major- label recording artist, and founded the College Radio- dominating band 4 out of 5 Doctors. My major-venue touring/performing credits include tours with The Clash, The Cars, Hall & Oates, Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow, Pat Travers, UFO, even Screamin' Jay Hawkins, to name a few.

I spent the last three years teaching guitar, bass, and band, at my local music academy. During that time, I was fortunate enough to bring in major-name, platinum-selling artists/producers to mentor my younger students, whom they recognized as exceptional.

Application of my musical skills were honed by major record producers, including Jeff Glixman (Kansas, Black Sabbath, KISS) Alan Winstanley (Bush, Elvis Costello, Morrissey), Bil VornDick (Allison Krauss, Bob Dylan, Ricky Skaggs).

"I took a number of guitar lessons from Greg. I knew very little about playing, just some very basic stuff. He was very encouraging, yet pushed me to try some new things. I enjoyed his style of teaching very much and would recommend him highly. Great sense of humor to boot. At least some of the reason I’m still playing today is from that earlier teaching. Thanks for the help Greg"

"My son began lessons with Jordan in January, and in just one semester he performed in his school recital. My son enjoys working with Jordan and gets very excited on his lesson days. He has learned a great deal about the guitar and about reading music. Jordan has been very flexible in working around our summer schedule. I would highly recommend him."

"I agree with everything everyone else says about Albert so I don't want to repeat. I started with him when I retired (bucket list litem) and Albert is very patient and helpful ( as well as accommodating my uneven scheduling). You get into songs you like right away and learn technique within the songs as you go. He'll give you as much theory as you want. Shortly after you start with Albert you'll feel like your learning/ playing with a friend... I highly recommend him!"

"I started with Scott as a newbie and he has definitely helped me grow as a guitarist. He takes time and makes things easier to learn. As complicated learning can be, he simplifies it and breaks it down. When I feel like I’m not progressing he always shows me how I am. His modules are easy to follow. His teaching style is compatible with all types of learners whether you are visual, hands on or a listener. It’s not just business with him. He’s always available for questions after or between lessons. He’s knowledgeable in equipment so don’t hesitate to ask for some advice on what to buy. He’s affordable and lesson times are flexible. I highly recommend him for all ages and learning needs."

4 Tips For Maximizing the Lifespan of Your Acoustic Guitar

Whether your acoustic guitar is brand new or gently used, you can do a few simple things to keep it in great condition! Follow these tips from guitar teacher Samuel B. to get the most out of your acoustic guitar... Let's face it. Acoustic guitars can be an outright nuisance to keep in shape. They're delicate, sensitive to both humidity and temperature patterns, and often have weak central support. While the desire to keep yours both easily accessible and on display in a stand or on a rack is …
