About Paul
Paul M is an American born, New York-based Piano teacher, Vocal coach, Pianist, Composer and Artist. As an educator, Paul is part of The Suffolk Piano Teachers Forum, College Music Society and Music Teachers National. He has been an Adjunct-instructor at New York University (NYU). Paul also conducts master classes and seminars in The United states and South America. For the past few years, he has implemented classes in composition and music history in the coastal area of Ecuador and New York. His music studio in New York City is in high demand. He works with piano, composition and vocal performance students of all levels and styles, which include classical, jazz, blues, Tango, and Broadway. As a Pianist, In 2006 Paul was a prizewinner at the Music Club of Douglaston Piano Competition. For two consecutive years, Paul was awarded The Suffolk County Piano Forum Prize. XLNT Music recently wrote, “Paul is a fine pianist that performs with superb pianism and great sensitivity.”
 His recent public performances include Ecuador South America, Steinway Hall NYC, The United Nations, Faust Harrison Hall, Saint Peters NYC and The Staller Center. Paul has performed with The Stony Brook Symphony Orchestra and The New York University Symphony Orchestra. He has studied with well-known piano teachers including: Martin Canin, Morey Ritt, Tina Dahl, and Anita Gelber. In 2011 he released a record consisting of his performance of original compositions for solo piano that is available in bookstores and on iTunes.
As a composer Paul has composed music for the feature film Documentary Between the Shades, directed by Jill Salvino and premiered at the Soho International Film Festival in 2017. In 2014, Paul was the composer for the radio show Ackerman Associates Meets Dracula written and directed by Peter Stass. In 2014 he wrote the score for, Lies People Tell, a short film that premiered at the san pedro film festival. In 2011, he released his first solo record Succession of images, a song cycle for solo piano. In 2017, he released his second record Hope, a chamber music work recorded with clarinetist Thomas Piercy and Violinist Patrisa Tomassini. Recent public piano performances of his music include Ecuador in South America, Steinway Hall NYC, The United Nations, Spectrum NYC, Faust Harrison Hall, Saint Peters in NYC and The Staller Center in Stony Brook NY.

As an artist, Paul is known for creating large instillations, paintings and live performing art pieces. From 2014-2016, he was the artist in residence at Spectrum Gallery in NYC. In 2014, he completed the Elevator Time Machine, a large instillation made of elevator parts that responds to sound. He also wrote and produced a 20 minute live art piece called Static in Movement for piano and video. His acrylic on canvas works have also been presented at Spectrum NYC, The Art Bar, The Gallery at Logos and Ward-Nasse gallery.

I am also a composition teacher. I work with composition students from beginner to advance. My composition students, over the years, range from all ages starting at 7. My students, after the first year, have been able to write string quartets and piano trios. My advanced students have entered competitions all over the country and are very successful in their composition practice. Some of their compositions have been performed in famous concert halls and schools.
As a vocal coach, I work with students of all ages. The repertoire that I recommend to beginner students includes Disney, Broadway and classical music. For intermediate and advanced vocal student, I have successfully prepared them for competitions, Broadway and University auditions as well as personal enjoyment.
Most recently I held a piano, composition and vocal recital for my students at the world famous Steinway Hall in New York City. I believe that some students work better when there is motivation for performance activities. For that reason I host these type of events. Students that decide they want to take place in these events perform among all levels. I offer these performance opportunities as an invitation. Each student has a choice as to whether they would like to perform.

Joshua has been a musician for over twelve years and been a teacher for five. He is an award winning composer, critical thinker, and an honest teacher. Joshua has a high standards for his students and himself. Joshua has studied Suzuki method under Dr. Paula Bird for four years and has taught over 100 students. He performed his official Suzuki training under Dr. Laurie Scott. Joshua also teaches at the Texas State String Project under the direction of Dr. Ames Asbell and Dr. Karla Hamelin. He has done so since it's inception.

Joshua is an award winning composer and has composed over 80 pieces, ranging in style from classical symphony to electronic dance. He has also arranged hundreds of works for violin and piano.

*** Lesson Details ***
I'm a relaxed person with a strict teaching style. I have two critical expectations for my stud
ents.

1: I expect my students to practice everyday, with time depending on age. (10 minutes a day for 5 year old's, 20 minutes for 10 year old's, etc.) No exceptions. Lessons are a place for me to teach you, not a place to watch you practice.

2: I expect parents to participate in every lesson. You are the teacher 6 days a week, I'm only get to teach them one.

If everyone understands my expectations, students will grow and learn quickly, and have a great time doing it!

I develop a lesson plan depending on each students strengths, weaknesses, talents, and personality. No one student is identical to the next, so none will be taught the same, but everyone will follow a similar pattern.

My daughter has been taking lessons since may and she loves it. Joshua is a great teacher, he us straight forward and will not move her forward unless she has fully learned what he taught her. If your kids need lesson he is your guy. Thanks for being a great teacher.

I've been playing the violin self-taught for about two years because my first experience with a violin teacher went horribly. So after two years I figured I'd try again.
I was on Reverb Lessons for 6 months, and it was a complete nightmare. The most highly rated teacher they provided didn't seem like he was teaching me anything at all. Most of our lesson were music theory, which was helpful, but I would only play the violin the last 5 mins of the two hour lessons. He kept telling me, "i didn't have it in me to be a violinist" and he told me to play piano instead. Well it turned out he didn't even play the violin!
Completely despondent, I was getting angry that I
might not progress in the violin (which I was madly in love with) but dispite my bitterness I decided to try to find a teacher again.

I've only had three lesson with Josh and I can't articulate how much better I've gotten. He's calm and collective, and gives me exactly the advice I need in order to get better. He's an attentive listener, and responds accordingly. I enjoy his lessons; they are the perfect balance of stern and nurturing. I'm excited to see how I progress as the lessons continue, and I'm thankful that I FINALLY found a good violin instructor

About Victoria
Vicky is a music teacher originally hailing from Cocoa Beach, FL. She has been teaching since 2008, starting in the Central Florida area and then in the Southwest Virginia region. She studied music therapy at the graduate level through Radford University, and general music, with coursework in education, religious studies, and vocal training at the undergraduate level through the University of Central Florida, Orlando. At UCF she has studied with Dr. Jeremy Hunt and Kimberly Saunders Randall, and her past voice teachers include, Jason Reichman and Young Ju Lee, both FSU alumni. She started her music career with piano 20 years ago under the wing of Diana Ryder, and from there her love for music grew. Growing up, she listened to a variety of music, classical, musical theatre, Disney, pop, and Vietnamese folk and pop music. Ms. Ryder expos
ed her to a plethora of new genres and from there she developed her own style. Piano-wise her primary focuses are the romantic and baroque era, especially Bach, Beethoven, and Chopin. Vocally, her styles branch musical theatre, opera, pop, country, and on occasion touches on jazz. She has made the effort to learn as much as she possibly can about music, the different ways to play, to sing, while still keeping true to her own style. She hopes that her students have that same drive and be open to learning all sorts of music!

Learn Video Game, Anime or Classical Piano!

It is my goal to develop in each of my students a comprehensive understanding of music which enables them to play the piano with utmost enjoyment and musicality. Quality piano instruction is achieved through focused private lessons. Although with many students I emphasize classical repertoire, it really doesn't work with every student. Each student's curriculum is ALWAYS tailored to their interests and goals. I find encouragement is absolutely necessary but students must try their best. My teaching style consists of a fun, relaxed environment where students can feel like they can express themselves fully and learn much at the same time. Mastery at the piano is so much more than learning to press the right keys at the right time. Music is about expressing and sharing human emotions and feelings that are unspoken and is something we can all be touched by.

About Sabrina
I've been banging on the piano since I was 3, but piano became more structured when I turned 7 and I've loved it so much since then. I've been classically trained and have 15 years piano playing experience. My favorite genre is Modern Japanese Classical music (fancy name for anime and video game music).
I have been teaching students for six years. People aren't intimidated when I am around and I believe students benefit greatly when they are comfortable with the teacher and can feel natural around them. The teaching process is most successful when the students share their ideas, disagreements, goals; when they are challenged and test their abilities.

I am very laid back and love to laugh, but I do expect the students to be prepared and practice, this way they benefit the most from each teaching session. I

I am a professional singer, songwriter and actor working in the Chicago area for many years. I have a B.F.A. in Theater/Voice from The University of Kansas and an M.A. in Interdisciplinary Arts from Columbia College Chicago. OK, now for the credentials:

MY EDUCATION

I learned how to read music at 4 years old, before I had even learned to read English. If I can do that, anyone can do that given the right set of elements.
1. I started singing at three, piano lessons at nine, began teaching myself guitar at twelve and I have never stopped playing and learning since then.
2. I earned a B.A in Music from Towson University and graduated Magna cum Laude with a Major in Jazz/Commercial Piano Performance and a Minor in Opera.
3. I made my stage performing debut in a solo role at six, and I have never stopped performing since then. I wrote my first song, all by myself, at eleven and have composed over 1000 pieces since then.
4. I have studied brain science and practical neurology for fifteen years as part of my continuing education.

MY EXPERIENCE

In addition to my extensive study of the piano, I have had many other valuable experiences as a musician and teacher, including but not limited to the following:

1. I have been a choral singer for twenty three years, and during that time toured Italy, sang at St. Martin of Tours Church in Los Angeles for fifteen of those years, and worked on mastering just about every form of sacred choral and gospel music.

2. As a soloist, began performing professionally in 1988 and have done numerous performances of my own compositions around Southern California. I also have had songs of mine pitched to major artists in Nashville and currently compose both contemporary music and feature songs for film and television.

3. I developed a method of curing tone deafness, and authored a course that teaches this to anyone whether they are a trained singer or beginner. I also authored a second course specifically for karaoke singers to learn stage presence and better performance skills.

4. I have been teaching for twenty years, working with students from 3 to 78 years old at every level of musical experience. I have taught not only music performing and instrumental technique, but song-writing, arranging, and the tricky task of singing while playing an instrument to accompany one's self. Believe me, this is a skill that DOES take a separate set of lessons to master, but every student who studies it with me does!

I've been a musician since I was in the cradle, and I
learned to read music before I could read English! Over the past twenty years of teaching piano, voice and guitar I have learned how to use your brain, and the basic musical skills you ALREADY have to help you turn yourself into a great musician and performer.

If you can tap your foot along with a song, and you can recognize Mary Had a Little Lamb, you've got what it takes. My specialty is taking these simple skills you already have and using them to teach you EVERYTHING you want to know how to do on your instrument. I also teach combined
lessons so that you can learn more than one instrument in your course of study if that is what you choose.

*** Travel Equipment ***
Student provides piano in their home for piano lessons. Voice students provide a recording device to record their lesson for their practice. Guitar students provide their guitar, any amps, cables, anything else they need for their rig. All students provide any CD's or mp3's they are working with during study. They pay for all books needed.

Athena explained the electric guitar very thoroughly. I think I’m going to enjoy playing it more. As soon as I can get my left hand to cooperate and keep my thumb in the right position where it’s supposed to be, I’ll feel better,so I’m going to work on this all week.

My experience teaching piano spans nine years and I have helped my students develop their performance and interpretation skills to succeed in both examinations and their academic pursuits.

About Ania
Ania is a composer, performer and music educator currently based in San Diego. Ania has been teaching private lessons in piano performance, ear training, music theory and composition since 2008. She has helped students accomplish their musical goals including succeeding in The Royal Conservatory and Trinity College in London exams, and successfully passing entrance exams to renowned music colleges in Europe and USA, as well as succeeding in their academic pursuits.

Ania received her Doctorate in Music Composition in June 2016 from the University of Washington in Seattle. During her academic education she received training in conducting, music theory and piano performance. Between 2011 and 2016, Ania taught ear training, music theory and music appreciation at the University of Washington, and also served as a piano accompanist for both
undergraduate and graduate classical and jazz voice performance classes. As a pianist and composer, she has worked with the UW Modern Ensemble, Inverted Space and the Seattle Modern Orchestra.

Between 2014 and 2016, Ania taught piano, music theory and voice at private schools of music in Seattle and Bellevue, both in Washington. Since August 2016, Ania has served as the Music Director at Santee UMC, leading a choir and small voice ensembles while continuing to teach private voice, piano, and music classes in the San Diego area. As an expert in her field, Ania looks forward to help new students achieve their musical goals.

I know Ania's teaching from the time we worked together at music schools in Seattle, and I've gotten to see the passion and high level of musicianship that she brings to her lessons. Ania pushes her students towards clear and attainable goals with steady encouragement, and I saw the results in the rapid progress of her students, who loved playing their instrument and were visibly excited by the gains they were making. I highly recommend her as a teacher!

I have been taking the piano lessons with Ania for a couple of lessons. She helped me realize my life-long dream of playing classical piano music. She is a very talented and astounding instructor with a super solid theoretical background. During the lesson with her, the music goes way beyond just playing the right note with correct tempo.
