Every genre of music has a unique musical vocabulary and style that defines it. Some of the characteristics of country music are developed from the blues and American and Latin folk music. Developing a strong sense of rhythm and timing is one of the most important bridges to cross.
When learning a specific style of music, it is important to dissect it and figure out what makes it tick. We will listen to your favorite songs and to some of the great songwriters of the genre and learn from imitating their styles.
I teach guitar, piano, bass guitar and even upright bass. If it's a tutor you are looking for I can also teach music theory and appreciation. I have a knack for teaching young people, probably because I was young when I started my musical journey. I've been very successful at inspiring a student's love of music and instilling the patience required to take on the challenge of playing an instrument.
The first thing I like to do is get to know you, the music you enjoy and your goals. In a way, I l
In addition to learning from you, I intend to present you with new information, to try and broaden your musical tastes and teach you how to be an active listener.

I believe that music is a fundamental part of human expression created by God, and my heart’s desire is to use music to express a meaningful and edifying message in an effective, beautiful and creative way to God and to others. My intention with my students is to instill the same principles and desires in them through musical instruction and coaching, technical training, aural skills, exploration of quality musical literature, and performance opportunities.

I have played guitar for 15 years and have been teaching students for eight. I began taking lessons at a young age where i discovered my passion for guitar, song writing and performing; I then followed that passion to Sydney Australia where I studied music for three years at Hillsong International Leadership College. While there, I played with various Hillsong teams, including Hillsong Live and Hillsong Youth where I worked on developing my craft both independently as well as in a band context.
I have a huge passion for helping students discover their strengths as musicians and then developing the skills necessary to pursue them. I provide a fun, challenging and unique learning experience for all sorts of guitar players interested in growing their knowledge and skills.
