The viola instrument is my specialty. Just the like the Viola flower, the viola instrument has a strong tone quality and beautiful sound. Viola players are known as the "glue" of the orchestra for tying together the soprano sounds of the violins to the deep rich tones of the cellos. Violas are also known as "Super Heroes" in the orchestra because their music can take you all over the symphony in just one small section. Usually, the violas sit right in front of the conductor beating like a heart beat and flying like super heroes across the orchestral composition, where ever their parts take them, viola players will conquer! Viva La Viola!

I have been playing classical violin and viola since I was 11 years old and am now 24 and currently working on my Master's of Arts. I am a firm believer that everyone can learn music. No matter the age, I give my all to each and every student. I also place an importance on tailoring every lesson to what each student wants to accomplish or what they need/ want. My goal for every student is to reach their maximum potential and most importantly that we enjoy making music together.

I am a string specialist. That means I teach and play violin, viola, cello, double bass, guitar, bass guitar, mandolin, ukulele and piano. I earned B.A. earned from the University of Northern Colorado, Greeley Colorado where I was a double major in classical guitar and double bass. In my senior year I was the recipient of the Annual Concerto Contest where I performed the "Concerto in A Major" on double bass with the University orchestra for the spring concert. I have played in both professional and semi-professional orchestras in Colorado and Arizona. I believe that any student will practice more if he or she likes the music they are playing. Periodically I will ask a student to give me a name of a piece of music that they would like to learn how to play. I notate it for them, often simplifying the rhythm and chords in Finale NotePad and give it to them free of charge. I teach students how to play music on their given instrument. I have a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education and a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from the Fredonia School of Music. I am a certified K-12 music teacher in New York State.
