Nadia K.

Spring Hill, FL

About Nadia

Going to University of South Florida with a full scholarship.
Majors: Finance
My lessons consist of an individual approach to each student, since I know that everybody learns differently I come up with a teaching plan that fits each students individuality.

I began tutoring when I was a freshman in high school. I went through the international baccalaureate program in high school that included honor and AP classes. I have the knowledge and ability to tutor; biology, mathematics (algebra, geometry, pre-algebra, algebra II, pre-calculus, calculus, business calculus) , English, Russian, pia
no, computer knowledge, and history.

Other things that I teach or can help improve in:
Meditation (hypnotherapy, deep relaxation, breathing techniques)
Life Coaching (help organizing your schedule, reaching a goal, improving yourself)
Mixology (I have experience working as a bartender and managing a bar so I can teach and improve your drink mixing skills)
Exercise (I have numerous students who I help exercise once a week or even on a daily basis)
Computer knowledge (excel, word, access, powerpoint, and quickbooks, as well as website design: online and html)

*** Lesson Details ***
My lesson starts with me finding out what the student knows and what he needs help with. I ask a few questions to help me direct the lesson so the student can gain the most knowledge. I always make sure that the student has goals and that they know what steps need to be taken to reach those goals.

*** Travel Equipment ***
I have my own transportation.

Nadia is the best tutor I have ever met with. Before I met with her I was struggling a lot and I was very nervous. After our first meeting I felt as if I had learned a lot and I was no longer confused. She is very helpful, patient, and very kind.

Natasha W.

Clearwater, FL

About Natasha

My name is Natasha and I am a certified tutor in reading, math, writing, language and grammar just to name a few subjects. I enjoy helping and watching children gain confidence in areas that were once a challenge. I make learning fun and comprehensive, but most of all memorable. I promise you won't be disappointed.
I also enjoy giving acting lessons because it broadens your versatility and hones in on skills that are sometimes suppressed. Acting pushes you to think, perform, project, engage and entertain and I absolutely love it and you will too.

Thanks!!

Yongmao S.

Tampa, FL

About Yongmao

I'm a Ph. D chemist trained in a prestigious US university and have extensive experience in teaching and tutoring in high school sciences, freshman General Chemistry, sophomore Organic Chemistry, and advanced chemistry courses.

Through one-on-one and group tutoring, the subjects will be presented in a way that caught interest, clarified difficult topics and led student(s) through complex areas, and put knowledge into context so that its relevance was apparent.

As a chemistry educator, especially one who is tutoring at the high school and undergraduate levels, I will bring a lot of energ
y to my student(s). If I can't get excited about my subject, why should my student(s)? Another important element of my tutoring is encouraging reasoned thinking and rational problem solving, especially in developing logical arguments.

Whitney B.

Lakeland, FL

About Whitney

Hello! My name is Whitney. I am currently an Education Major at Florida Southern and a combat medic with the Georgia Army National Guard. Recently, I became a member of Kappa Delta Pi; which is an educational honor society. I also made the President's Scholars List Spring 2016!

I have been substituting since 2006 with a couple breaks here and there because of deployments and training. I love learning. I also love working with people and teaching them fun new skills they can apply to their every day lives.

I have taught various types of classes that cover areas from basic first ai
d all the way to common core math; which is ironic because it isn't commonly used. I have deployed to Afghanistan, Guyana and trained in Germany. I love my job as a medic mostly because I get to meet new people and teach them, as well. Overall, I hope to use this medium to further my teaching experience and learn new techniques to apply to my classroom in the future.
