Lisa N.

Atlanta, GA

About Lisa

Motto: We Can Succeed Together!!!

Began tutoring in the summer of 2009 with accounting students to help them understand the principles of debits and credits and journal entries. I have worked with children as young as 5 years old with learning how to tell time, count money.

I have my BS and Masters in Accounting and have been working in Accounting since 2007. I have a number of resources that I use to explain various concepts and provide examples. Math is a strong subject for me as I walk students through ways of solving a problem. I will explain it how it is done in the book and give a
different perspective on solving the same problem.

I like to use flash cards to help with memorization. I also try to provide as many real-life business examples to help explain journal entries. I also like to test/quiz my students to see of they really are understanding the concepts.

I am one to build confidence, reassurance, and positive feedback. I want to make sure that you fully understand the concept(s) before moving on.

I have been an avid writer for as long as I can remember. Upon completing my undergraduate degree, I was given the opportunity to turn my passion for writing into a career as well as help others discover and grow their passion for writing. I have been a professional content writer and editor since 2014, and a private tutor since 2013.

I tutor students from elementary to graduate school in writing and grammar, and I provide proofreading and editing services. I can also provide basic tutoring in other English related subjects. I help students with structure, coherence, grammar, punctuation, t
