Christian R.

Tulsa, OK

About Christian

Music is my passion. I've been playing music since I was a child but didn't get serious with it until I was 14, that's when I got my first electric guitar. So, from then on I've been playing and studying music for around 14 years. I play and teach guitar, piano, drums, and bass guitar. Aside from taking years of private lessons with a number of teachers I also studied music and audio engineering in college. I'm constantly learning more. I keep my chops up by practicing and reading books by other professionals and songwriters. So, I have an arsenal of books and musical knowledge. When I'm not teaching I spend most of my time writing and recording my original solo music. I have a rock band that I've been playing with for over a decade. We are currently in the studio recording our first ...

Home studios are not always the best atmosphere.

I have learned more from Christian in 3 lessons than I did from my previous instuctor in a year. Christian is very focused and seems committed to the task at hand.He keeps it fun and interesting and at the same time challenging.

Good Piano Teacher

He is very patient, working at the level of the student. He is considerate and not pushy but gives encouragement on any effort shown. He does not merely teach songs. I appreciate his background and understanding of music theory which is the foundation for any good teacher. He does very well in sharing that understanding, even to a young person. I definitely recommend him.

What an amazing experience!!!!

I have been taking lessons from Ms. Peterson for two years now and my voice has dramatically improved. Others who know me and hear me now perform express the remarkable difference in my vocal ability and skill. Now it’s no joke. You work hard but the payoff is so worth it! From pitch to tonality, to music theory and performance techniques – she trains you on all these skills but in a way that builds you up and gives you courage! After two years I still won’t stop. I still have so much more to learn. Thank you Ms. Peterson!!!!

Lora N.

Tulsa, OK

About Lora

I really believe in making music fun, simple, and easy to learn and play. Music is the window into the soul, and it can ease a lot of stress, pain, fears, and worries. I want to help others learn to love and enjoy music the way I have over my 15 years of experience. I want to get to know my students closely, the way I received my piano training. Playing the saxophone and piano helped me get through a very difficult period in my life, and I hope to be able to help my students through whatever hardships they may have, through music. *** Lesson Details *** I like to let the student set the pace. What we go over each week will depend on what, and how much the student has practiced the week before, and their comprehension of the assignments given. I use the Bastian Lesson books, published ...

Lora is fantastic! She is always on time for practice and very understanding of rescheduling needs as they arise. In-home lessons are best decision I ever made! So much easier than having to rush my kids around town to their various activities. My 9 year old daughter, Rhyann, adores her and can’t wait to practice on the piano each day after school just so she can impress her teacher each week!

Christopher F.

Tulsa, OK

About Christopher

Chris is lucky to have already had a long and diverse musical career. He grew up in a musical family and his parents’ ownership of a music store influenced him from day one. Starting on piano at any early age, he gained experience early accompanying for his tri-grade elementary choir, going on to complete over six years of piano study. After elementary school, he switched focus and started teaching himself the guitar. By high school he was his church youth group's band leader and picked up percussion in marching band. After high school, Chris continued to gain experience by performing for dozens of churches locally and regionally on a variety of instruments. During this time Chris was a member of New Fire, a contemporary Christian group. His time with that group included a Midwestern tour

I know Chris as a student, peer, performer, and friend. He is one of the best musicians I have encountered in my many years in the field. He is what I call a "total musician," meaning that he is well versed on multiple instruments and can contribute greatly to any type of musical environment. As a teacher, Chris uses his diverse talents to his advantage and communicates information in a variety of ways, making the subject area easier to grasp. I give Chris my highest recommendation without any reserve. It is a pleasure to work with Chris!
