My style of teaching is to teach each child one step at a time, through method training. Each child/Adult has their own learning curve and I adjust accordingly. Each lesson is fun and yet a learning time. I love teaching and it feeds every day. I always can see more students.

EDUCATION My musical education began while sitting on my mother's lap as she taught piano lessons. I began studying cello with a member of the Kansas City Philharmonic at age 9, and at age ten, I followed in my mother's footsteps to play the flute. I played all three instruments, (piano, cello and flute) until high school when it was became clear to me that I wanted to be an orchestra teacher. With this dream in mind, I began playing the violin as well. I graduated from Drake University with a Bachelor's in Music Education in 1989 and again in 1999 with a Master's degree.
