In fact everyone I've mentioned above are pro all the way and great guys as well. I"m honored to have played with them.
I challenge my students to view music more than just as a "skill", but also a tool to communicate effectively and to combat life's obstacles.
I have had many guitar teachers myself including one true Famous Rock Star legend here in Pacific NW. Congrats Rog. U Earned It, & inspire myself, & others everyday.
You got to know the rules 1st, before you can then break the rules. This is how you develop your own unique style. And it's what separates the Pro Players from the rest of the pack.
But even if you don't want to play professionally, maybe you just want to learn a few chords, licks, songs, for yourself, or to impress friends. That's okay too!
I welcome every level and style. I always learn something from my students.
That's what music is all about. Learning & trading tips and licks from other musicians.
Bottom Line Is... I can help you learn and progress on your instrument faster...
Let me be the Music Coach to get you there!

I have been working as a professional musician since 1987. In that time, I've played many roles alongside a wide range of established and emerging talent, from around the world, including band leader, accompanist, music producer, composer, arranger, co-writer, teacher, coach and mentor. Along the way, I have continued to pursue my passion for education, teaching private music lessons to amateurs, professionals and hobbyists from all walks of life.
I have been living and working in Nashville, Tennessee since March 2004. In that time, I have picked up LOADS of experience and techniques working with a long list of established and emerging Country, Alternative Country and Americana acts. I have a lot to offer in this area. I am not, however, your guy for "chicken-pickin'."

Country guitar lessons are where you'll learn some of the best riffs from great country guitar players such as Brad Paisley, Vince Gill, Chet Atkins, and more. Sessions are always tailored to your specific interests!
About Calvin
I started my personal music journey at 4 years old first learning piano and guitar and multiple other instruments from there. My father was my first music instructor which grounded me in the foundation and theory of music while at the same time knowing that ear training and learning how to play with other musicians was just as important. From there I had the privilege of learning jazz, blues, and many other styles from the late Hal Stesch at UNLV School of Music who played piano and organ for many great artists including Elvis, The Platters, Frank Sinatra, and many more. Currently my wife and lead Praise and worship 3 to 4 times weekly a two different church campuses an
My approach to teaching music is to customize lessons to the student’s interests while still maintaining the essentials and foundations including music theory, scales, and reading music. I like to incorporate particular songs and genres of music that the student likes by providing customized tracks with their particular instrument taken out so that feel a sense of accomplishment and get the practice of playing along with other musicians which benefits in the ear training process. I look forward to meeting and "jamming" with you soon!

I am passionate about seeing students grow. I strive to be energetic yet patient when teaching to create a comfortable dynamic in my lessons that encourages excitement about music.
I have been playing guitar for 9 years, and have performed professionally with groups playing styles ranging from jazz, country, rock, blues, funk, and even musical theatre. I am capable of teaching beginners as well as intermediate students.
My lessons encourage a strong knowledge of fundamentals, so that a student can continue to develop years down the road with their acquired understanding of music, but I also am also careful to tailor lesson material according to a student's interests, personality, and natural learning methods.
About Chris
I will graduate from Belmont University in the Spring of 2018 with a degree in Commercial Music, so I have had the "conservatory training" in regards to theory, music history, and studying the guitar, but before college I was largely a self taught player and am now a professionally performing musician here in Nashville. That being said, I can
I do my best to make lessons relaxed. I don't ever want a student to be nervous for a lesson with me because they did not practice as much as they think they should. While I encourage as much practice as possible, I care more about a student realizing the positive force that music can be in their lives; music doesn't need to be a stressor.

With my daughter, he is patient, approachable and makes her comfortable and eager to learn. She is more and more excited about the things she is accomplishing and I feel that she is getting a firm grasp on the important fundamentals of guitar.
Honestly, we feel that we have found a jewel of a teacher and my family highly recommends him.

The lessons are about YOU and the music YOU want to learn. There are always certain aspects regarding technique and theory that encompass all musical genres, but I always try to put it in the context of the music YOU enjoy.
About Ian
My father is a professional studio and touring musician who worked with bands and artists such as Supertramp, John Denver, Dolly Parton just to name a few. He started hiring me at 16 years old to play piano on numerous projects getting my foot in many doors. I have since built my own career working as a songwriter, session musician, live performer, recording engineer, and teacher.
I have performed live or on records with John Robinson Jr. (drummer for Michael Jackson, Barbara Streisand, Quincy Jones, etc.) Abraham Laboriel (Bassist for Stevie Wonder, Herbie Hancoc
I have written and recorded 60 plus songs that have placed in Television shows such as Access Hollywood, Dr.90210, Jack and Bobby, and others.
I was the musical director for Jillian Cardarelli (an up and coming Country music artist).
In the end, who I am to you is a musician passionate about teaching. It's the most rewording job I've ever had. So if you want a teacher who is excited to be teaching then I'm the guy for the gig.

I want to help you play the music you were born to play. :)
Most music teachers talk about their qualifications as a player. I happen to be a great player, but the reason you should study with me is that I am a phenomenal teacher. I possess the ability to clearly communicate complex musical concepts, I am patient and compassionate, and I have a strong vision for the growth of each of my students within the context of their interests.
A little about me: I wanted to learn how to play the guitar when I was 12 because my dad plays guitar, and, well... every 12 year old wants to be like their dad. In high school, I played in church and fronted a hardcore band. I studied Classical Guitar at Moorpark College and went on to receive a Bachelor's in Jazz Studies from CSUN in 2016. From 2012 - 2015 I taught at Dave Janssen's Music School in Simi Valley Ca where at one point I had 40 individual students and directed 3 bands. I have recorded guitar on film scores, debuted original music at ...

I LOVE TEACHING.
I love watching my students grow. I love giving to them what I have been given. I love discussing all the lessons music has to teach us about life and friendship and discipline. It brings me so much joy to introduce my students to this treasure trove, and see what they discover for themselves.

I've been playing guitar for the last 15 years and giving lessons for almost as long! I have a degree in music from the University of Miami and am currently touring out of Nashville. I'd like to think I have a fairly wide range of musical tastes (jazz, country, blues, acoustic, gypsy jazz, rockabilly, rock, etc.) and I enjoy the different challenges that each of my students bring to the table. So whether you're just wanting to strum a few old favorites at home, or if you're on your way to being a Nashville pro like me, I'd be happy to help you along your musical journey!

In 2017, I relocated to Nashville, began touring with country artist Derryl Perry, and recorded and released my first solo album, Aces. In between tour dates, I've been enjoying the task of expanding both my teaching studio and my guitar resume in this growing city.
