Experienced music teacher with nearly 10 years experience teaching students of all ages and abilities from beginner to advanced. I also have experience teaching music to students with special needs, including autism and total vision impairment. I begin accepting students for guitar at age 8 and teach students up to age 99+. For students younger than 8 who wish to learn guitar, I start them on a ukulele which is much easier for very young students to handle. With lessons from me, you'll learn to read music and understand tab, develop your ear for hearing music (ear training), music theory, and technique with a goal of getting you playing your favorite style of music in the quickest time possible. I can teach you to play whatever style you wish. I can even help you learn to compose your own music! To accomplish that, I use a variety of learning aids and games to assist you in learning to read music and understand the deeper concepts of music theory. I taylor my teaching style to each ...

About Elizabeth

I grew up in a musical family. My mother was a piano teacher for 20 years, and my father could play any instrument he decided to pick up. From as young as I can remember, music was always surrounding me. I came to love it in all its forms and styles. I began playing piano when I was a little girl.

I work with an array of clients that include music instruction on guitar, bass, piano and vocals. I also produce various clients working with them on writing their material or helping them hone what they've already written and getting it to tape.

About Will

Will Fletcher Instruction has been going strong since 2009. New students starting this year are doing great along w all the older, more musically advanced students. I want you to play music. I don't care how we get there as long as on your specific instrument you want to learn, you are making music

Will was everything I expected. I was looking for someone to teach naturally as opposed to rote (boring) learning. I'm sure Will can do rote but he did what I asked.

He really knows his music and can teach in a way that gets my son directly into actually playing music, which is exactly what I was after.

He’s really flexible and can take anything and turn it into something good.

The pace was spot-on, matching perfectly the maximum my son could understand at the time.

I think my son learnt the absolute maximum he could in that short space of time and he learned a LOT.

Get ready for a truly rich and rewarding experience. Maria studied at the Moscow Conservatory with Viktor Merzhanov. She is a 4th-generation pupil of Franz Liszt and 6th-generation of Beethoven. She was one of the fortunate few (Garrick Ohlsson among them) to study with Roberto Eyzaguirre, who was a student and friend of Claudio Arrau, one of the 20th-century's greatest pianists. Arrau studied with Martin Krause, who was one of Franz Liszt's final pupils. Liszt was taught by Carl Czerny. And Beethoven was Czerny's teacher. Through this great lineage, learn an incredible technique that will enable you to play the music of your dreams!

About Maria

Maria was born in Moscow, Russia. Her mother was a piano teacher and started Maria playing at 4. She studied at the legendary Moscow Conservatory with Victor Merzhanov. Maria focuses on foundation, which is the most important strategy for improving in a long term. Maria puts effort to make piano as fun and beautiful instead of hard training. She is also very flexible in lesson times and tries to accommodate students' interest and need. I am glad I found her as my teacher!

I throughly enjoy the lesson time spent with Maria as a beginner. She is an accomplished musician and transmits her passion for the piano to me as her student. She is kind and patient and totally focused on my comfort level and ensuring that I understand her approach to learning to play. I would highly recommend her to anyone interested in starting with the basics and having the enthusiasm for learning that she has for teaching.

Maria has been a joy to work with. She is kind, compassionate and patient. She is an amazing teacher and my lessons have been transformative. Every time I leave a session with Maria I am excited, rejuvenated and my skills are most certainly elevated. She makes music fun. She is also thorough and comprehensive and teaches excellent fundamentals. I would strongly recommend her to anyone interested in learning piano.

My name is Christine and I am a piano performance major at University of Rhode Island. I am a classical pianist, very advanced in music theory and I can also read sheet music very well and fast. I have been playing piano for 16 years and taught by various professors from Hong Kong, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. I also have intermediate knowledge in jazz piano and would be able to teach that as well.
I like to be able to expand your music knowledge as well as making you a better pianist. In order to expand your knowledge, I will teach you various things in music theory that will help you have a better understanding of what you are playing. Music theory is part of the lesson, so please don't be alarmed that you aren't playing piano for the entire lesson.
If you allow me, I will do to the best of my ability to fulfill your musical potential.

Andrew is such a great teacher! I'm a beginner guitar player who wanted to learn some of the basics and work on my technique, and Andrew was so patient and really took the time to work with me. Very easy-going and helpful, even though I know I'm not the best player. He clearly knows what he's doing when it comes to anything guitar-related and I cannot wait to set up another lesson. I already feel more confident in my abilities! Thanks Andrew!

"Paul’s knowledge base goes well beyond bass — as a high school English teacher, my interest in learning bass guitar was inspired by a love of the hip writings of the Beat Generation and an interest in their jazzy rhythms. The enthusiasm I brought to our lessons was met & surpassed by Paul, who thrilled to share historical anecdotes and highlights of the era, ultimately teaching me bass basics with a personalized Beat angle. The best teachers I’ve known seek student connection in order to individualize instruction. That’s how Paul rolls."
