About Tayra
Hello! I'm an experienced Writer, Illustrator & Designer.

I've been working as a private tutor for about 5 years. I have experience tutoring in English language, grammar, math, history, science, and literature with a specialty in creative writing, essay writing, and visual arts. My students range from ages 5-18. I even have experience preparing high schoolers for college admission exams and procedures. I believe that there are multiple ways to learn and, therefore, I believe each of my students has unique needs and interests.

To make learning more exciting, I enjoy creating lesson plans that may be in a game form or involve interactive or conversational forms, if it means that the student can understand better.

Above all, I love literature, design, illustration, and writing and incorporate it into my everyday life. It really is
something I love doing, which is why I'm happy to teach my students and help them discover what they love about whatever it is they are interested in. Not sure? I'll help you figure it out. Being interested in multiple subjects is okay too!

Besides my love for design and literature, I love teaching. My proudest moments have involved my students accomplishing their personal goals, including becoming more proficient and confident in speaking English and getting into the college of their dreams with an amazing essay! Getting to know a new student is just as important to me as designing and preparing lesson plans.

I want to learn about you so that I can help you learn in whichever way you choose.

Throughout my years in school, I learned how important having the right teacher is. I believe that great presentation is the key to invigorating learning. I help my students find a fun way to reach their toughest goals.

Any questions? Don't be afraid to ask! :)

Tayra is awesome! She really helped me with my pronunciation and even helped me practice for a job interview. I struggle with my accent a lot even though my writing is good. She's very patient and checked in a lot with me to make sure our lesson plans were helping along the way. I also cancelled on her twice and she didn't mind! She let me reschedule! I originally purchased 5 lessons but seeing as to how much I have improved, I bought a couple more to help me with my SAT practice (I'm an ESL student). Tayra's the best! She also speaks Spanish so that was a plus!

In the US, she won the Houston Symphony Ima Hogg Young Artist Competition and debuted with the Symphony performing Beethoven's Third Piano Concerto. I am honored to finally write a review for Maria!

Having already been a musician for a decade on various other instruments, I was looking for a teacher that could help me learn technique for piano. I found Maria on this website and have never had a better private teacher.

She quickly adapted to my experience level, gave constant feedback, called me on my mistakes (in the nicest way possible) and encouraged me to succeed.

I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking to learn piano, regardless of your musical background. She is a wonderful, kind, incredibly knowledgeable teacher and is a very welcoming and encouraging person. I am so glad to have had her as my teacher.

About Sina
Learning a new language is to create a pathway to one's unacquainted cultures, to which the learner ought to be eager; and this is the only prerequisite for such purpose. Talent, attention and dedication, all, come afterwards.
An eager learner, never feels incompetent or alone; with a dedicated teacher who can make him/her relaxed, fully attentive and innovative.
We, all, have unique ways of expressing ourselves, by using the same pool of words; which is what makes the concept of language a distinctive invention.
This has been the essence of teaching Farsi for me. To make each learner use Farsi as a unique effective tool of self-expression.
I started teaching Farsi literature to my juniors when I was 10 and ever since that has been one of my pleasures, which I kept doing during all past years. Having more than 10000 verses in different
styles of Farsi classic poetry, editing books, articles, writing for amateur and professional newspapers, I have had learners of expanded range of age, education, and knowledge of Farsi, from illiterates to university students; all of whom eventually performed greatly.
The key was, to make them self-sufficient and independent by encouraging them find out, how they interpret the concept of language, and from then on, they had the joy of learning what they wanted to learn, facing challenges they loved to face, and the self-satisfaction anyone needs.
30 years of continuous learning, teaching and evaluating my students on different subjects, had shown me that whatever a human creates, can be taught, and whatever can be taught, can be learned.
In my teaching method, depending on the learner's age, goal, education, status of Farsi understanding and dedicated free time to study, different schedules will be set; and different tasks will be executed. The environment in which the learner will be trained surrounds his/her goals, and the expectations never surpass the abilities. It will be exclusively topic-related, which means learner will not be dealing with tasks outside of their functionality; so that anything taught, could be easily memorized.
The first session includes a free 15 minutes acquaintance, during which areas of interest in my teaching and learner's goals will be assessed to be sufficient, and then educational process proceeds.
At last, regardless of your choice of educator, learning Farsi is a great way of spending your time and effort to gain some valuable practical knowledge which makes you proud of knowing it.

Language Lessons vs. Self Study: Can You Teach Yourself Japanese?

Masculine & Feminine Spanish Nouns | Test Yourself!
In English, every noun has a neutral gender. This makes it easy to learn, so you really only need to learn the new word and the learning stops there. In Spanish, on the other hand, every single noun is either masculine or feminine. This means that every time you learn a new Spanish vocabulary word, you need to learn its accompanying gender as well. This may appear confusing for beginners, but bear with me! Here are the general rules for determining masculine and feminine Spanish nouns:
How to NOT Look and Act Like an American Tourist in Germany
Are you planning a trip to Germany? One of the keys to staying safe and not getting sucked into tourist traps is to blend in with the culture. In other words, when in Germany, do as the Germans do. Most American tourists don’t realize that there are certain things they wear that make them stick out like a sore thumb. A large backpack or fanny pack, for example, screams tourist. But it’s not just what American tourists wear, it’s also what they say and do. Certain gestures or greetings,
