Cant say enough good things about Joel. He doesnt get frustrated when I don't grasp a concept he breaks it down to where I can understand and work through it. Works to play what I'm interested and what I really want to play. I thought going to learn an instrument at 27 would be rough but it has been fun and enjoyable.

Hi, my name is Gabriel and I'm a violinist currently serving as Assistant Concertmaster of the Annapolis Symphony, Principal Violin II of the York Symphony, and a section violinist in the Harrisburg Symphony. In addition to extensive orchestral experience, I am looking forward to performing as soloist in an upcoming concert with the York Symphony, and I have given numerous chamber music performances and other small recitals.

My musical education was completed at the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University, where I received three music performance degrees: BM, MM, and GPD. I was awarded top merit scholarships for all of my studies there, and I received the first prize in the undergraduate violin competition.

Feel free to check out sample videos of my playing below!

I enjoy teaching violinists of all levels, from first time beginners to those with years of experience looking to audition for colleges/conservatories or orchestral opportunities.

"Chris is, hands down, one of the best music teachers I’ve ever had. He’s very patient and is open to adjusting lessons to fit whatever genre of music you are feeling at the time to keep you engaged. He also has an incredible ear that can figure out what is going on musically with any song, and can break it down for you and explain potentially why the artist chose to do things this way. If you have very clear goals in mind, and you voice them, I believe that Chris will be able to help you achieve them."
