My curriculum has to be successful time after time to myself and students; I am confident we will find a relationship that suites your goals!

He is on of the funniest guys I have ever met! He is very caring and wants his students to prevail. He makes me want to go higher then I have ever thought of going in the music career! He makes me feel like I can be one of the biggest drummers ever. He may be my instructor and I, the student, but he is my friend. One of my greatest friends! And if I make it to the big leagues. I'll be thinking of him and thanking him for everything he has given me! And I'll Remember where I started... in the small reaching room in Gutiar Center with two drum kits and a white board (plus some cool posters).

Erin W.

Goodyear, AZ

About Erin

I am an enthusiastic, caring, and patient voice and piano instructor. I am passionate about both music and teaching.
I began playing piano when I was 9 years, and began classical vocal instruction at the age of 10. I have been teaching both voice and piano since 2004. I received my Bachelors of Music in Music Therapy in 2013. I believe passionately in the healing and restorative power of music. My teaching methods are based on traditional practices and pedagogy while also incorporating my student’s musical preferences, and personal goals. My main goal as a teacher is to help each student
reach their highest musical potential while developing a life-long love for music.

*** Lesson Details ***
I am a relaxed and patient teacher. I use positive reinforcement in order to help inspire and motivate my students. I do expect my students to play and/or sing outside of lessons, but I will never make my students feel anything but proud of their accomplishments as a musician.
My piano students will learn note reading, proper fingering, posture and technique, music theory, chord theory, ear training, and performance.
My voice students will learn proper posture, breathing, vocal technique and alignment. They will also learn how to sing in many different styles, or if they wish we can focus on specific genre of music.
Within 3-6 months my students will have a much greater understanding of music, and will have developed a passion for playing their instrument or singing.

*** Specialties ***
I use many different method books when teaching piano and am most comfortable with the Bastien series and Alfreds. When teaching voice I draw on many different methods and am comfortable teaching classical, pop, musical theater, and jazz.

Jill M.

Glendale, AZ

About Jill

I have been a professional oboist for over 35 years and have taught beginning piano privately and in group classes. For the past 18 years, I've taught beginning piano, chorus, guitar, band, and music humanities for the Deer Valley Unified School District. I will make your lessons fun and exciting and teach to your abilities at the moment. I believe that all children are inherently musical and the study of music can help a student in all aspects of their life, not just music.

*** Studio Equipment ***
In addition to the standard music stands, metronome, tuners and music, I have digital recor
ding equipment for student's audition recordings. I have helped college bound students get into serious music programs like Arizona State University and the University of Arizona. For students ages 5 to 9 years old, I recommend the recorder as a introductory woodwind before learning the oboe.
