Born in Rapid City, South Dakota, I started taking piano lessons at the age of 6. Since that time, my love for music has grown with each passing day. I graduated from The Entertainment Career Connection in 2010 with a certification in Audio Engineering and Production. There I studied audio mixing, recording, production and mastering. In 2016, I graduated with a degree in non profit administration from Denver Metropolitan University. I am very active in the community working with my non profit, Wealth In Community Knowledge. In addition, I keep myself busy musically playing in my band, Theoretic. I continue to follow my life-long passion for music by educating others. I believe that music lessons should be a fun and rewarding experience, and place a high value on learning how to use music in everyday life. *** Lesson Details *** Students taking lessons from me can expect one thing for certain, patience. My philosophy is simple, music is FUN! With a laid back relaxed approach to teaching, I make my students feel comfortable and adapt to each student differently. Not every person learns the same way. I understand this, and apply my methods to each individual student so that they best understand in the way that they learn. I teach Guitar, Bass guitar, Songwriting, and Music performance from beginner to advanced. Piano lessons are offered at the beginner level only. I also teach ONLINE LESSONS for guitar, bass guitar, songwriting, and music performance. *** Studio Equipment *** Piano, guitars, bass guitars, and amplifiers. Video screen for lesson display. Audio equipment. *** Travel Equipment *** Travel equipment includes guitars, bass guitars, and amplifiers for both. All lesson materials, including books and script paper. *** Specialties *** I teach at all age levels and abilities. My specialty is making your lessons fun! I cater to each individual student, and we design your curriculum around your abilities and goals with your instrument.

TJ is a great person and great instructor. He is always enthusiastic and brings a very positive attitude to his teaching. He is willing to work at whatever pace is best for you and spends time personalizing lessons so they're enjoyable yet challenging. I'd definitely recommend him as an instructor.

My daughter is currently taking beginner's piano lessons with TJ. He is extremely patient and encouraging. TJ makes the lessons fun and teaches at a pace that is right for the student. My daughter isn't afraid to ask questions and doesn't feel intimidated when she doesn't understand something. TJ is a great teacher. We couldn't ask for more!
