Hello, I am a graduate from McGill University, where I received my Master of Music in Flute Performance. Prior to that, I received my Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from Northwestern University. I live in Long Beach, CA and can teach any level of flute/piccolo students. I have been teaching privately since 2008. I love to teach both students who are planning on pursuing music and taking auditions as well as students who are learning an instrument just for fun! I adjust my expectations of students accordingly. Parents are welcome to sit in on lessons if they wish. I am an easy-going teacher, but I do expect my students to practice and come prepared to every lesson! If students are prepared, lessons are much more fun for everyone :)

Sarah is incredibly passionate, kind, and encouraging. I have no doubts that all of these traits, plus her incredible attention to detail make her a very excellent teacher. I have seen her work with students of all ages, and she's so fantastic, mature, professional, and dedicated.

I have known Sarah for a few years now and have seen her perform in solo recitals as well as with large and small ensembles.
