I am a graduate of the Peabody Conservatory and I hold two degrees in piano performance. Through my world-class teachers I can trace my musical education lineage directly to Mozart, Liszt, Haydn, Chopin, Mendelssohn and Beethoven. Over several decades I have taught more than 3,000 beginning and advanced students, a number of whom have gone on to earn piano performance scholarships from prestigious conservatories, music schools and universities. I have composed my own course method based on the piano teaching method of Carl Czerny, a student of Beethoven and the teacher of Franz Liszt. Beginners quickly gain confidence to perform in public and learn to perform increasingly difficult and lengthy compositions such as the Beethoven sonatas, Chopin scherzos, works of J.S.Bach and many others all from memory. One of my students just completed, from memory, a Beethoven sonata of 28 pages. Several of my students are on youtube. *** Lesson Details *** Students must have a piano or keyboard at home and are expected to practice every day. I have written and published the music and the course of study for all first year beginners; They learn proper fingering, how to memorize music by learning finger patterns, and how to count in rhythm. The more time they spend in practice will determine how quickly they advance, Upon completion of my initial course, they begin to study works by Bach, Beethoven, Mozart and Chopin. Children can begin lessons from the age of 4. Parents of students from 4 to 8 years of age must sit in on lessons and practice regularly with the child at home. *** Studio Equipment *** In my studio are two Mason Hamlin grand pianos. A professional concert adjustable stool and a collection of nearly all classical piano music. There is a waiting room with coloring books and a TV. *** Travel Equipment *** When I teach in my students' homes, they must have a piano. *** Specialties *** Vengerova Method based on the French School; Close Fingering Techinque

I am a senior in my 70s. Teacher very cordial. Liked his way of explaining the way to learn the piano. I never played so was a bit nervous. He inspired me. Practice lessons were enjoyable. Looking forward to my additional lessons. First time in my life with belief that I will be able to play the piano.
