Cellist Paul Cohen has performed on major concert stages throughout the United States, Europe and the Middle East. Since his orchestral debut at the age of twelve in his native Minneapolis, he has become increasingly in demand as a soloist, recitalist and chamber musician. His solo repertoire ranges from Gabrielli to the most current unaccompanied compositions. He has also commissioned works for a six-stringed electric cello and has given performances of the complete cycle of Beethoven Cello Sonatas and Bach Cello Suites in single concert formats. His playing has been described as “Especially Eloquent” by New Yorker Magazine, “Radiant” by the Boston Globe, and “Virtuosic” by Strad Magazine.
