It is my goal to connect with students and help them develop a life-long passion for music. During lessons, we will establish the foundations of good piano-playing and musicianship while exploring each student's unique musical interests. Topics include reading music, note names on the piano, playing with correct rhythm, good technique and more.

About Max B.

Max has been teaching piano for 7+ years and playing for 25+ years.
Max has performed in arenas across the US with Peter McPoland (touring as direct support for Twenty One Pilots) as well as with Pixie Lott, Tom Sandoval, Steve Ferrone (of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers fame), and Jason Scheff (Chicago).
Originally from Honolulu, HI, Max graduated from the USC Thornton School of Music with a degree in jazz piano performance (B.M.). During his time there, he studied with such luminaries as Patrice Rushen, Alan Pasqua, and Russell Ferrante.
Please note that Max is a touring musician and will have to re-schedule lessons from time to time. Significant advanced notice will always be given.

Max is a fantastic teacher! He's always on time, always prepared, always cheerful and always encouraging. I've been taking lessons for nearly two years and I'm delighted with the progress I've made.
It's so nice to know that there will be one hour every week when I know I'm going to have a good time.
I take my lessons online and it works very well.

Max is an excellent teacher. He is patient and is able to identify what his students need as the lesson progresses. Max’s innovative techniques encourages his students to want to practice the lessons that he leaves for his students. When the students need special material to help them with the lesson, Max sends the material in a timely fashion.
