I'm a guitarist and vocalist for the Estudiantina de Guanajuato in Mexico. The Estudiantina takes groups of visitors on a tour of Guanajuato, MX accompanied by traditional Spanish and Mexican music.

I'm dedicated to teaching my students in the most fun way possible, and hope to pass on my passion for music to them. My primary goals for my students is to get them up on their feet and playing as soon as possible, and to give them the tools they need to continue their musical education in the future. I want to teach students to teach themselves as much as possible, since I believe that this is the key to true learning and enjoyment of any new skill.

I develop a customized curriculum for each student according to their personal learning wants and needs. I believe that every student has their own way of learning new things, and I try to adapt my teaching style and lesson plans to each student's learning style. Our time together will be fun and productive, and I look forward to working with you! 

Some basic skills that I cover with all of my students include: 
 - Guitar tuning
 - How to hold the guitar and guitar pick properly
 - Basic open chords

My son took a lesson from Lydian today. We decided to try having him do online classes because the commute to in-person lessons was too much of a hassle. Honestly, I thought it wouldn’t work out for him to do it online (he’s 10), but it turned out just fine! Lydian has obviously worked with a lot of kids. I was really impressed! My son’s last instructor wasn’t that great with kids actually. I can see that now. Would totally recommend this instructor to other people! Thank you!

Lydian was very patient with me. I'm a beginner and I was really nervous about learning online. She did a really amazing job explaining things to me so that I could understand what I was doing. I'd definitely recommend her to other students! I plan on doing lessons with her several times a week myself!
