Hello! My name is Lucciana (Loo-Chee-Ah-Nah...I was named after Italian opera legend Luciano Pavarotti). Background: I began formally studying music at age six. I spent my childhood and teen years participating in choir, orchestra, private instrument lessons (piano, voice, violin, Dobro), musical theater and I also played in local bands with musicians much older than I was at the time. I became a music teacher for the first time at a small music store in 2009. I absolutely fell in love with sharing the skills and techniques that had helped me become a lifelong musician and I have been teaching ever since. Instrument Lessons: My main instrument is the Dobro slide guitar. It is a very unique instrument that I love to share with people. I have equivalent experience with piano and voice instruction. I also teach guitar and ukulele. Other Types of Lessons: I have run numerous songwriting workshops for all ages and I do one-on-one song coaching as well. I've been a professional songwriter for over a decade, and I love helping people refine and enhance their writing craft. We are all writers deep down! I will help you unlock your inner voice and express yourself using the power of music. Summary: I have extensive experience working with a variety of age groups and special interest students. My areas of expertise range from young children (0-5) and adult beginners to live performance coaching for future professionals, songwriting coaching/feedback, and ear training. Most importantly, I am passionate about teaching music in a way that leaves each student connected to the joy of creative play. No matter what age, skill level, or instrument, I fully believe that music meets you where you are and enriches your life in exceptional ways. I will work with you on what you wish to learn, incorporating skill, music theory, dexterity, technique, improv and repertoire into your curriculum in a way that leaves both of us inspired at the end of each lesson. I look forward to meeting and working with you!

I was a bit nervous with my first lesson but Lucciana's bubbly personality put me at ease. I like her teaching style because she actually asked me for what I wanted to get out of the lessons that I am taking, and that is great!, She is gearing the lessons to my benefits that would allow me learn the things I really want to learn. We started out with the principles, which is something I want. I believe that having the principle basic of music would benefit me in the long run and allow me to learn how to play my ukulele and learn how to play many of the songs I enjoy.

Lucciana is an amazing teacher! I have been taking voice lessons and songwriting instruction with her for almost a year. She is enthusiastic in her approach and gives feedback that is thoughtful and constructive. She has guided me through writing and singing 2 songs while working on my third. I am incredibly grateful for all that she has done!
