I am on the Faculty of the School of Biological Sciences at UMKC. I teach courses in Zoology, Marine Biology, Entomology, Parsitology and Evolution, as well as coordinating our Undergraduate non-majors Introductory Biology course for the entire university.

The National Science Teachers Association (NSTA), founded in 1944 and headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, is the largest organization in the world committed to promoting excellence and innovation in science teaching and learning for all. NSTA's current membership of 55,000 includes science teachers, science supervisors, administrators, scientists, business and industry representatives, and others involved in and committed to science education.

Our non-profit organization is part of a global organization devoted to Irish traditional music and culture. Throughout the year, we sponsor a great number of events, celebrating the talents of our branch members as well as enjoying guest performers and teachers from other communities.
