Look at Polyglots like Benny Lewis. Individuals like him are famous for learning from speaking a new language from day 1. I work for a very prestigious University, and in our French and English Programs what is taught is Immersion. This form of teaching is a little awkward in the beginning, but has been proven over and over again to be the most effective method of learning a new language. Within a month or 2, you will find that speaking is beginning to become more natural. It is VERY possible to become fluent in any language within 3-6 months, IF you actively SPEAK the language from day one. I will teach you how to you use your new language in and around your home. This is the most effective way because in your home, you are free to speak without constraints. If you are married and/or have a significant other, speaking your new language with them can be fun!
