She has held teaching positions with several music organizations, including the Sooner Strings Project at the University of Oklahoma, El Sistema Oklahoma, Norman Music Institute, and the Butler Community Arts School, as well as keeping a private studio out of her home. In addition to her teaching obligations, Kari performs regularly as a freelance violinist with artists and groups such as the Young Musicians Foundation, Richard Clayderman, and the Pacific Opera Project. Kari has also won permanent positions with the Amarillo Symphony of Amarillo, Texas, and Resonance Horizon, a new orchestra in Southern California dedicated to performing music from video games, anime, TV series, and films. Kari is also a founding member of the Sunset String Quartet, a new quartet servicing all areas of Southern California with music for weddings and other events.

Kari is very knowledgeable and skilled with music and violin. My first lesson was enjoyable and progressive. Kari showed patience and understanding on her approach to teaching. I hope to build a continued relationship with Kari learning music and violin together.
