I am an active musician in the Baltimore and Washington area working as a pianist, guitarist, producer, and songwriter. I am Church Music Director as well. Most importantly, I have 12 years of private lesson instructing experience. *** Lesson Details *** I cater my lessons to the individual needs of the student. I strive to keep students engaged while ensuring the fundamentals of musicianship are comprehended. My goal is to push students beyond what they think is possible allowing them to discover their greatest potential. I do this by usually teaching out of a lesson book and then allowing students to pick a supplement book or even their favorite songs to learn from. In the first 6-12 months, students should have a basic understanding of their prefered instrument, theory, and techniques. During Covid-19, All lessons are online. Students must have a zoom account and a working microphone. They should also have a second device to play music from. We can spend the first lesson working through tech details. *** Specialties *** *Teachers classified as a Student Favorite have taught a minimum of 25 lessons and have received the highest feedback rating from students. My specialties are rock, pop, gospel, and jazz music. I am also an experienced songwriter & producer and can help students learn the skills needed to make their creations come to life.
