I have been teaching private lessons since 2006 and have loved helping my students expand their vocal range, increase their repertoire, gain solid technique, and just enjoy singing. Each lesson will begin with a vocal warm-up focusing on breath, posture, and technique. We will then work on your music together incorporating what we learned in our warm ups. We will focus on everything from phrasing, to marking breaths, to understanding lyrics, utilizing dynamics, and staying true to the style of the music. Our lessons will be engaging, informative, and fun. I want you to find your unique voice and help it to grow. I want to know what type of music you like and am happy to help provide you with new material ideas. My Broadway repertoire knowledge is expansive and I love finding songs that fit your personality and type. My background is primarily in musical theatre/Broadway which embraces all styles of music including classical, jazz, pop, rock, and country. I love teaching. I love learning new music and helping my students learn new music. I love watching my students make progress. Below you will find a bit more about my education and performance background: I have always had a passion for musical theatre and vocal performance. I began performing at the age of 5 and started studying voice at the age of 12. I attended the University of Southern California, Thornton School of Music, where I received a B.M. in Vocal Performance. Upon completing my Bachelor’s degree, I received an M.M. in Musical Theatre from the Boston Conservatory. While in Boston, I had the unique opportunity to perform as a concert soloist with the Boston Pops conducted by Keith Lockhart on the same night that I sang the national anthem at Fenway Park. Wanting to combine my joy for traveling with my love for performance, I studied acting at the British American Drama Academy in Oxford, England, musical theatre at NYU’s CAP 21, and opera at OperaWorks in California. I have performed in New York at Birdland and the Laurie Beechman Theatre, in California at Rockwell Table & Stage, and in New Hampshire with the Great Waters Music Festival and New Hampshire Dance Institute. I traveled the world in the International Tour of CATS as Jennyanydots and the understudy for Grizabella. I have also performed in many regional theatres throughout the country. Some of my favorite credits include: The Marvelous Wonderettes, Light in the Piazza, Guys and Dolls, The Golden Apple, and The Full Monty. Currently, I am on the faculty at AMDA College and Conservatory of the Performing Arts in Hollywood, CA where I teach Individual Voice lessons to college students.

Jennifer is one of the best voice teachers I have ever had. She really takes time to make sure I understand everything she’s trying to show me and stays at that pace until I get it. She pushes me to keep working and find the right tricks that will help me remember each lesson. I feel so grateful to be one of her students and have felt the most confident in my voice when I got the chance to train with her. Thank you so much Jennifer. You all will not regret signing up with her because she is an absolute genius and one of the most fun and welcoming people to be around.
