    About Haiyang W.

    Hi there! My name is Haiyang, and I am flute performer and teacher who enjoys sharing my love and knowledge of music through online teaching. I started playing the flute in 1999 and have been teaching since 2014. I received my Master of Music degree in Flute Performance at Florida State University, where I also taught flute lessons and music classes as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. Prior to that, I acquired my Bachelor of Music degree at University of North Texas, and I taught at a number of public secondary schools as well as my private studio in Dallas-Fort Worth Metropolitan Area. As a teacher, I value the students' uniqueness and work collaboratively with them in setting goals and plans while they progress at their own pace. As a musician, I devote my effort to bring out the musicality within each player. I love sharing my appreciation of music and skills of flute playing. I look forward to meeting and growing with my students together as musicians.
