Ucamps is a peforming arts summer camp. I primarily teaching music to kids aged 10-18 any style of music, mostly rock. We have them break into bands, instruct them and have them practice and have them perform a song by the end of the week.  have guitar, bass, drums, keys and a little bit of vocals. Our goal is to have our kids find the lifelong passion for music that all of the teaching staff has.

I've been teaching guitar for 6 years, playing for 11. My biggest influences over the years have been David Gilmour, Steve Howe, Julian Lage and Randy Vincent. I have spent the past 4 years studying at SSU under Randy Vincent's instruction, who was the primary teacher for guitar prodigy Julian Lage. Over the years, I have changed my technique to be as effortless and neutral over the years, and would be glad to help you with your technique so that you don't make the same mistakes I did!

Hey, I'm Garrett. I graduated from Sonoma State University in may 2015 with a degree in jazz guitar. I studied with several world renowned musicians for guitar piano and music theory. I have been working with a performing arts camp for the past 7 years as a counselor, music instructor, sound technician and audio engineer. I currently in live Eugene, Oregon, and I play in 6 bands and work with two producers. I'm patient, and I remember what it feels like to be overwhelmed by all the different aspects of music- I'm here to help show you that it's all doable, and it's not as hard as you might think!
