Get tailored piano lessons from an awarded top music teacher

Every student has unique needs. Any student will succeed if the instruction is tailored to their learning processes. Since every student learns in a different fashion, it is necessary to use both traditional methodology and Suzuki methodology while teaching. Each student is placed in the program and course that best suits their learning needs. I expect my students to attend the lesson every week, complete all assignments, and listen to directions.

About Evan P.

4.9
(12)
Evan has been teaching private lessons since 2011 and is currently available to teach lessons in his studio in Southeast Aurora or in the client’s home. Service is provided to a large clientele throughout Aurora and Denver. Mr. P has helped students to learn the fundamentals of piano playing, give successful public performances, win local competitions, and enjoy playing for their own self enrichment. Evan received his training from the Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver where he received a bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance in 2011 under the tutelage of Steven Mayer, David Genova, and Alice Rybak. After graduating, Evan became a certified Suzuki Piano Instructor through the Suzuki Association of the Americas, training with Jane Reed, Joan Krzywicki, and Mary Craig Powell. He received the Top Music Teacher Award from Schmitt Music in 2017 and from Steinway and Sons in 2018. As an expert is his field, he looks forward to helping new students achieve their goals. Mr. P’s teaching style is thorough, methodical, motivating, and patient. Each student is given a customized approach that fits their unique learning process. The program includes weekly one-on-one lessons, piano study books such as Faber Piano Adventures, and learning technology to engage students. The studio is equipped with an Essex Grand Piano with player features, electric keyboard, music library, recording library, and WiFi internet. Scheduling and administrative services are provided by My Music Staff. The program also offers several opportunities for the students to perform and showcase their skills. There are four private recitals every year at Classic Pianos or Schmitt Music. Clients also have access to Aurora Music Teacher’s Association events, including Achievement Day, Composition Festival, and the Four Forms Festival.

Evan is a terrific piano teacher! My 11 year old daughter has been working with Evan over the last 2.5 years and has progressed from zero skills, to memorizing keys, notes, and playing the piano with great form. Evan is patient, encouraging and communicates effectively with my daughter. Evan has provided a tailored teaching style and plan designed for my daughters current skill level. Evan has a strong focus on good foundational skills and technique and has helped my daughter progress through the years with daily practice notes and achievable goals.

Evan is an amazing piano instructor. My son has been going to Evan for lessons for years. I'm very impressed with my son's progress. My son is heading to college, and he is sad to have to stop lessons with Evan. I highly recommend Evan as a piano instructor. He knows piano theory, technique, methodology, etc., and he gets along great with my son. Wonderful teacher!

Evan really takes the time to get to know my son and his abilities. He has been very accommodating to our lesson changes when my son is active in school sports. Evan is very professional and communicates effectively. He is also open to feedback on how I feel the lessons are progressing.
