Hi, everybody! My name is Eric, and I've been teaching since 2010. I started teaching at a pre-college program while at Temple University, where I studied with members of the Philadelphia Orchestra, and then switched to teaching for Music & Arts and in students' homes. I love music, especially the clarinet (although I wanted to play drums when I was in fourth grade, but don't tell anybody that). My teaching style is "non-traditional," according to one of my students, in the sense that I don't teach any two students the same way, mostly because no two students are the same. "His teaching style is nontraditional and highly motivates young music students to practice playing their instruments." Non-traditional, see? But effective. I teach EVERYTHING right out the gate: technique, musicality, and sound (I find it's much easier to develop as a musician with a solid musical foundation, not just a technical one).
