Currently undertaking a Bachelor of Violin Performance at the Juilliard School, I have extensive experience teaching beginner and intermediate students, guiding them on performing, musicality, technique and building confidence. 

I believe in individuality in music, therefore my teaching is adaptive; I am able and happy to tailor to student's musical and technical needs. I will discuss with my students regarding what they want to achieve, and devise approachable and practical methods to accomplish their goals. Hello! My name is Emma Zhuang, I am currently undertaking a Bachelor of Music (Violin Performance) at The Juilliard School. I have had teaching experience for over 3 years with students of all ages in my private teaching studio. 

I believe in individuality in music, therefore I am happy and able to tailor to my student's learning goals. I aim to teach positively to enhance a student's confidence and competence in their playing, through working on musicality and violin techniques. 

Lessons are scheduled to best fit to the student's schedule when possible.

I started taking lessons with Emma recently (through a friend's referral). She has been incredibly helpful and encouraging. For example, sometimes I felt something wrong with my playing without knowing exactly why, Emma was able to instantly recognize what technically I needed to improve, and she was able to express ideas in a clear and concise way. Really happy with my lessons!
